~~ Woburn Safari Park ~~
After reading luckyarchers review on Woburn Safari Park I got really excited I loved the sound of it and especially Rainbows End, which leads me to another story which I will tell you about later on. Straight away I went onto the internet to take a look at their website, it was on here that I discovered they did various Special Experiences; one of these happened to be a VIP Tour with a Ranger, where you get right up close ...

“There’s a sign to Woburn Safari Park!” I shouted, so hubby left the M1 at Junction 13 and followed the clear signs.
Sadly, after checking their website, I found out that there is no public transport to Woburn Safari Park. I would imagine that it is a popular destination for coach tours though, so check out your local operator, if that is the best option for you.
It is 8 miles from Milton Keynes.

We like to visit zoos occasionally and all young children enjoy seeing animals. We were looking for a safari park in particular though because we thought the ‘drive through’ would be more exciting and less tiring for our 3 offspring.

Give it a Go! Review ofWoburn Safari Park, Woburn, Londonby

Advantages: Fun Day Out Disadvantages: Limited
I have visited Woburn Safari Park twice now once last month and before that it was in summer two years ago.
I must say that weather wise it doesn't really matter when you go the animals seem to come out in all conditions. Last month on the day i went, it was absolutely chucking it down so i expected the animals to be seeking refuge in a shelter somewhere so i wouldn't see them. However, i was amazed to find that this made them more active than when ...

It cost £16 to enter the park with the car. As you enter you pass the restaurant section, but once through the toll, your tour begins. You are advised to keep your windows closed and arms inside the car at certain points, but this isn;t necessary as you pass the hippos first. You then come against giraffes and elephants and other large animals that you would expect to find in a zoo.

Advantages: Animals get to live in freedom and in their natural habitat. :) Disadvantages: May be quite expensive to get in. :(
Cruelty in animal zoos:
I believe that it is cruel and pitiless to keep animals caged up in zoos, when they should be out in the nature, where they belong. Animals have the same rights as human beings- it is unfair because animals cannot have choices, they obviously can't speak to have their say, what they want and what they're opinions are- but that's no reason to treat them so poorly. We can use common sense to see that animals are unhappy with ...

Advantages: All weather entertainment Disadvantages: Expensive (like most of this type of thing)
Woburn is a traditional safari Park. It is based in Bedfordshire in the Woburn Estate, which also includes the Abbey, sculpture gallary, deer park, golf course and village.
It has a large selection of animals, most of which are seen through car windows as you drive round. This can be a frustrating experience on very busy days, and the actual drive round time can vary from about and hour (well you can do it in less if you want to leave out some areas) ...

...birthday, and decided to try Woburn Safari, as I had passed the signs many times when driving up the M1. I was suprised at how reasonably priced it is compared to other 'London area' attractions. my only concern was my car, would it survive.
There were lots of warnings about bears pulling off wing mirrors etc. but my car survived in one piece. Seeing the animals so close to you was amazing; the lion cubs were playing, rhinos crossing in front of ...
