...I found out about the Yotel being actually in the South Terminal and fairly close to the transport train between the terminals, I thought that I would give this hotel a try.
I checked in for my flight at about 9 30pm the evening before departure, and then went over to the South Terminal to find the hotel. I found it easily, near the shuttle exit, and since I hadn't booked to have my room until 10pm, I had a coffee first in the very conveniently ... ...problem if you are on crutches etc. However, I had a good, if not very long, sleep, and felt thoroughly refreshed as I walked straight past the long check-in queues at 5:30 am. If I ever need to stay at Gatwick again, I will definitely consider the Yotel ...

Advantages: Highly Convenient; Value for Money; Immaculately Clean; Original Concept; Disadvantages: Space Limited; Poorly Signposted; Dimly Lit Corridors; Unsuitable for Families
...airport. I came across YOTEL after trawling the Internet to compare accommodation within the vicinity of the airport; and was immediately attracted to novelty value of this option. The futuristic concept along with the convenient location and price led me to confirm my booking immediately via their easy to use on-line booking system (www.yotel.com)
Cabins are available on a Standard (for individuals); Premium (sleeps 2) and Accessible (limited mobility ... ...the YOTEL room-only cabins by the hour (minimum of 4 hours) and due to my train/flight times settled on an 18hr room-only standard cabin booking (£56.00) arriving at 1500hrs. After the initial confusion in locating the accommodation (poorly signposted) I made my way via the lift to YOTEL which shares the lower floor with first class lounge accommodation.
I checked in easily via the self-service check-in system and entered the dimly lit corridors ...
