    Advantages Advantages Low cost airline with Premium seating available.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Only fly from a few airports in UK

    A few years ago we planned to go to Canada and cross the Rockies and then cruise to Alaska to celebrate our Ruby Wedding and retirement. But as my husband got voluntary redundancy last October we decided to bring the celebration holiday forward to this summer, why put off something that we can do now! We emailed a travel agent who specialised in Canadian travel and literally said what we wanted and what could they offer. The flight to Calgary and returning from Vancouver was with Zoom.     Advantages Advantages Direct Services between London Gatwick and Winnipeg

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Don't exspect too much luxary and pack light!

    I find that airlines fall into 2 catagories, cheap airlines and "Upper" airlines. Zoom Airlines falls in the cheap airlines of which cost comes first before little comfort and luxuary things that you would exspect from the other group which usually costs more. Zoom first of all gets a massive thumbs up for being the only airline (even though its seasonal and runs once a week) that flys DIRECT to Winnipeg airport from London, England. The amount of people that actually travel between Winnipeg and London there should be more airlines flying direct between these two airports and a masive shame on ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cheap as long as you are not particular and have time to waste

    Very glad to hear other people had good experiences with Zoom however my family and I and (I think I speak for the rest of the passengers on my flights) were very disappointed, upset and angry at the lack of support, organisation and quite frankly misrepresentation of the true facts relating to our flight back to Gatwick from New York. As I write this I am stranded in a low-grade hotel at JFK after 24 hours of a delay and another 5 hours to go - however I'm lucky compared to some passengers who have been trying to return to the UK for the last 48 hours!!     Advantages Advantages Food was ok, plane was tired, but functioned.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Customer service terrible. No luggage for 11 days! Zoom was very unhelpful.

    Please for your own benefit DO NOT FLY WITH ZOOM AIRLINES. Yes, I enjoyed the on board service, food ok, and flight was semi comfortable. The problem was that they screwed up my baggage and I got it 11 days into my 17 day trip. I cannot even begin to describe the tears, frustrations, and anger that plagued me. Zoom dealt with it terribly. They were incompetent, I couldn't get ahold of them outside of North America (terrible for a company who flies internationally), and when I did after using my credit card for long distance calls, they were unavailable.     Advantages Advantages Food was good, a little cheaper than the other airlines (but not worth the hassle)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad communication, disinterested staff, lack of customer service

    I have just returned from a trip to New York with my boyfriend using Zoom. This is truly the worst airline I have ever flown with. On the way out to JFK the flight was slightly delayed but other than that fine until arrival. Zoom lost our baggage. At the airport their staff were disinterested and their attitudes suggested this was very common place, at least 2 other passengers from our flight were also reporting lost bags. They said they would call the next day to let us know what was happening and we heard nothing from them. At the airport I had asked them for a contact number and I was given ... more

    Advantages Advantages Excellent staff, an economy class service at a 'no frills' price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Jet lag!

    We flew from Manchester to Vancouver (and back) and had no probs. We prebooked our seats so the hassle of check-in was alleviated. The cabin crew were a delight (the best I've experienced, actually), the planes fine, the journeys smooth and overall service excellent. The economy service is as good as anything you'll get with a national carrier -- I've no idea why Zoom is called a 'no frills' airline. I can't see the point of the Premium Economy seats: the extra legroom looked minimal, and £80 is a lot to pay for a free bottle of water and some free booze.     I have flown Zoom twice to Toronto and once to Calgary from London Gatwick and have found both journeys pleasent. The in-flight service is excellent, with the nice and helpful crew, the in-flight movies are also very good. It's just a pitty the food has to spoil it. Also the aircraft was extremely old. The second time i flew Zoom, the flight was diverted to Birmigham where the flight was operated by Air Transat who are yet to update thier aircrafs. I wish they had used the aircraft that took us to Birmingham (the nice blue one). I don't have any negatives about the airline apart from the ... more

    I've just finished reading a nightmare review of another customer's baggage problem with Zoom. I believe I might be stuck in the same nightmare. Zoom delayed my connecting flight 1 day. I called the connecting airport, who confirmed that my bags were in a transfer zone and they would be picked up by Zoom. Once I reached my destination, my bags werent' there. When I arrived, I filled in a report and took a phone number of Serviceair who handles the baggage claims for Zoom. I called them the next day to get a status... no reply.     Tried to fly with Zoom from Gatwick to NYC via Bermuda on the 21st Oct 07 for a 4 day break. On arrival check-in was not open and there was nobody about. Queued for a few hours and were eventually told the aircraft was in NYC still and our flight was delayed 24 hours. Zoom said flight would be same time the next day and gave choice of night in hotel (we stayed in sofitel and had lunch, dinner and breakfast provided) or transport to/from airport.     Zoom Airlines is a Canadian Airline which flies between the UK and Canada as well as other Countries such as France and the USA. I have used this airline twice to fly back and forth from Canada from my local airport Cardiff. I have had generally pleasant experiences with this airline. Although fares are often cheaper than rivals the quality of service full - seats are comfortable, movies are played and meals are enjoyable etc (all of which are free).
