We have always found them to be professional and helpful, even when wanting to book a last minute break - they searched for properties for us and gave us plenty of details over the phone and didn't mind being on the phone for half an hour at their expense. Stayed at CILCYCHWYN, Llanbedr. Not a good experience. Smelled bad, infested by mice and mould. Run down and not very clean. Bullet holes in the windows. Also said there was fishing available. It is about 3 miles up a steep hill (no vehicle access). Also told fishing in back garden - rubbish! Worst of all, on our return we have been hounded for money for supposed damage, and additional heavy cleaning. The owner makes up more damage and threatens ...

Our experience of booking through cottages 4 you was not a pleasant one. The cottage we booked, the Old Abbey at Treardur bay, Anglesey, was such a dissapointment. It was New Year and the pub advertised as 50 yards away was closed for renovation. All other pubs were ticket only. The beach was down a dark unlit road and closed off at night. We paid £500 and were offered just £50 refund after staying only 2 of 7 days. They maintained our contract was not with them but with the cottage owner, who, despite knowing how short a stay we had has offered nothing back. Avoid the Old Abbey and this company. Very poor service indeed. (Except when taking our money). ...
