Reviews of Rhodes Experience »

Lindos is seriously, the place to be.

Advantages: food, atmosphere, scenery
Disadvantages: mosquitos

Lindos is a beautiful village in Rhodes, close to all your main attractions. With Falaraki only a short drive a way it's perfect for a relaxing holiday during the day, and a bit of fun in the evenings. The old town is laden with different bars, and different things to do. A very good night out if you don't a massive crowd on thr dance floor. it's picturesque, just like the rest of Rhodes. the restaurants are amazing, and usually have candels and ...
...are somehting else. A very pleasent journey, and a great experience. Something not to be missed. The atmosphere down in Lindos is always very friendly. the beacehes are beautiful and sandy, and it's nice spending a day down there, relaxing. The shops in Lindos, mainly sell groceries, and post cards. ...

Rhodes

Advantages: Beautiful, sunny
Disadvantages: busy at times

I went to rhodes last year in july, it was very very hot. At somepoints a bit too hot for me. But i loved it, great atmosphere and great surroundings. The sea is beautiful colour, a light blur, with deeper blue surrounding coves. The beach near our hotel was great allthough quite busy in mid day. The sand was a whitey yellow colour which looks great and it wasn't dirty either. There are a couple of shops to do your essential shopping at, but not ...

The Real Faliraki

Advantages: A great experience with great sites and cheap
Disadvantages: sometimes drunken groups

Sometimes I get wound up when I know people are dissing Faliraki. So here's a Non-Biased Opinion of mine. Faliraki is like any other tourist destination: Its popular, Its got clubs, restaurants many hotels and lots of british people. Being Rape Captial made my heart sink. Because its not Falirakis fault? Young people are binge drinking in the famous Bar Street and then walking home alone. Wherever you are in the world look after youself. The same ...
...turkey! Location: Located Very close to Rhodes Town which has everything From Shops such a 3 Floored 'Zara' To many other local fashion shops. Faliraki itself is on the beach and is a very popular location, Bus services are great which means you can catch a bus to Rhodes town and it takes you 10 minutes. Rhodes is like any other mediterranean Island and has dusty roads in rural areas! I Had to laugh when i saw dusty roads as being a disadvantage ...

second visit to faliraki

Advantages: good beach and bars
Disadvantages: not any really

Had been to faliraki 8 yrs ago when i was young and it was great, bars and nightlife are fantastic you will not be dissappointed if you are young and looking for a good time. my second visit was may 2006 stayed about 20 min walk away from faliraki centre with husband and kids, we still went into faliraki a couple of times and as it was start of the season was very quiet, but to me it is still a lovely place still has the nice bars and restaurants. ...

Haraki a hidden Beauty

Advantages: Fantastic Holiday destination for relaxing
Disadvantages: May be too quiet for some

...people who had been to Haraki, and judging from the photos it looked like a lovely place. We flew out to Rhodes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport with Aegean Airlines our flight was a late one. Departure time was around midnight and with the 2 hour time difference, luggage collecting and so on it was the early hours of the morning as we left Rhodes airport on our way to Haraki which is roughly a 20 mile (35min) journey. As Haraki is a very ...
...buss would go right into Haraki, some would drop you at the end of a half mile road leading to Haraki. There is a shop about half way though which is convenient for an ice cream break. Eating Out: There are around 6 or 7 Restaurants which serve a mixture of traditional Greek dishes such as stuffed vine leaves and fresh Greek salads, to Italian and Simple fresh seafood dishes. A week is just long enough to try them all. Eating In: To be honest ...
