Kremasti, the village of friends.
Advantages: Quiet ,friendly, a good touring centre. Disadvantages: Aircraft noise
...you to the village of Kremasti, a much-overlooked little fishing village with a shingle beach and plenty of atmosphere. My partner Allan and I stayed here in 2001 in the Margarita Apartments close to the village centre and unfortunately rather near to the Airport but what we had saved by choosing a little-known resort was spent on touring the island. ☼The village itself is compact and unspoilt by too many tourists making it ideal for couples ... ...lady" by the locals in Kremasti, but this woman actually lived and worked in Symi. A British woman who had settled in Symi after exploring most of Greece she painted pictures, translated documents, but kept up a campaign to get the government to neuter the strays thus cutting down on the many starving animals. It was a pleasure to meet her in person (I had asked specifically if I could meet her) so we talked together as we went around with our cans ...

Haraki a hidden Beauty
Advantages: Fantastic Holiday destination for relaxing Disadvantages: May be too quiet for some
...people who had been to Haraki, and judging from the photos it looked like a lovely place.
We flew out to Rhodes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport with Aegean Airlines our flight was a late one. Departure time was around midnight and with the 2 hour time difference, luggage collecting and so on it was the early hours of the morning as we left Rhodes airport on our way to Haraki which is roughly a 20 mile (35min) journey.
As Haraki is a very ... ...buss would go right into Haraki, some would drop you at the end of a half mile road leading to Haraki. There is a shop about half way though which is convenient for an ice cream break.
Eating Out:
There are around 6 or 7 Restaurants which serve a mixture of traditional Greek dishes such as stuffed vine leaves and fresh Greek salads, to Italian and Simple fresh seafood dishes. A week is just long enough to try them all.
Eating In:
To be honest ...

Sun Beach Hotel, Trianda
Advantages: Lots to do, clean, great for families Disadvantages: Gravel beach
Before going on this holiday I researched the area and found very mixed reviews but as the price was great decided to go for it. My main point to make is if you are looking for a lovely quite little Greek village holiday DO NOT GO if you want a resort with things to do, places to eat and shops it’s perfect.
My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Sun Beach Hotel. We found it to be clean and comfortable with lovely staff. The room was very basic ... ...fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and hob the utensils were lacking (take a bottle opener!), we ate out everynight and there is plenty of choice. We had maid service everyday and clean towels. The hotel was perfect for children with great swimming pools and really well keep parks. The kids clubs was also great with multi lingual staff.
This side of the island has gravely beaches but we hired a car (£50 for 3 days!!) and found beaches to rival ...

Rhodes
Advantages: Beautiful, sunny Disadvantages: busy at times
I went to rhodes last year in july, it was very very hot. At somepoints a bit too hot for me. But i loved it, great atmosphere and great surroundings. The sea is beautiful colour, a light blur, with deeper blue surrounding coves. The beach near our hotel was great allthough quite busy in mid day. The sand was a whitey yellow colour which looks great and it wasn't dirty either.
There are a couple of shops to do your essential shopping at, but not ...

Lindos is seriously, the place to be.
Advantages: food, atmosphere, scenery Disadvantages: mosquitos
Lindos is a beautiful village in Rhodes, close to all your main attractions. With Falaraki only a short drive a way it's perfect for a relaxing holiday during the day, and a bit of fun in the evenings. The old town is laden with different bars, and different things to do. A very good night out if you don't a massive crowd on thr dance floor. it's picturesque, just like the rest of Rhodes. the restaurants are amazing, and usually have candels and ... ...are somehting else. A very pleasent journey, and a great experience. Something not to be missed. The atmosphere down in Lindos is always very friendly.
the beacehes are beautiful and sandy, and it's nice spending a day down there, relaxing. The shops in Lindos, mainly sell groceries, and post cards. ...
