Fabulous Fès

Advantages: Not as "touristy" as other parts of Morocco, steeped in history, a beautiful city
Disadvantages: Beware small children and Moroccan men

would instead recommend walking up to the Merenid tombs on the hillside neighbouring the old city. The tombs themselves are nothing special, but from this hillside you will be given an amazing view of the city (see photo below). ACCOMMODATION For as authentic a Moroccan experience as possible, I would highly recommend staying in one of the many riads situated in and around the city. These are traditional Moroccan houses set around a central courtyard, which generally only have a handful of rooms available. Serving traditional Moroccan breakfasts (fresh orange juice, pancakes and traditional pastries), they will generally also serve lunch and evening meals on request. We stayed at the Riad Clé de Fès, a beautiful riad just outside the medina, which, despite being so close to all the action, was incredibly peaceful. Many riads, we noticed ...

Lovely Riad, Shame About the Location

Advantages: Rooms and food are great, very relaxing
Disadvantages: Location, location, location!

We have just returned from spending the Easter weekend at Riad O2 in Marrakech. Prior to visiting Marrakech we had good email contact with the riad, and we confirmed with them that we would like to be collected from the airport and have dinner in the riad on our first night. We then arranged to pay the outstanding balance by bank transfer. We arrived at Menara airport after a really easy three hour flight, and we were quickly met by one of the riad's drivers, Hamid. He helped us to his car with our bags and we set off for the medina. Having read a couple of reviews on other sites before leaving we were a little wary of the area that Riad O2 is situated in, and unfortunately on arriving I have to admit our worries were confirmed. Hamid pulled up at the end of a road near Sidi Ben Slimane, and we then walked for three or four ...

Myra Hindley

Advantages: She's dead
Disadvantages: poor children

Did she have the last laugh. She wasn’t set free but she didn’t die in Jail. The Bitch. But I am celebrating. She didn't live into her 80's so I don't have to keep her no more. Myra Hindley, has died at the age of 60. November 12th 2002. Good, not soon enough. Oh the poor thing got a chest infection brought on by a suspected heart attack a few weeks ago. She died at West Suffolk hospital. Her twisted life was discovered on: 10th October 1965 when the body of 10-year-old Lesley Anne Downey was discovered. Eleven days later the body of 12-year-old John Kilbride was also discovered. It was the first time in British history that a woman had been involved in such vile sexual killings of children. More murders were soon to be uncovered. Her life before her atrocities. She was born on 23rd July 1942 in ...
