Advantages: Beautiful, unspoilt countryside. Captivating. Disadvantages: You won't want to come home!!!
...into the gap. The Gap of Dunlow was one of my favourite places that I visited in Killarney. Partly because of its astounding beauty, but also for the sense of isolation from the world. It really is one of Killarney best unspoilt wonders of nature.
For those of you who like to sit back and enjoy the view instead of driving or for those of you who enjoy participating in touring as a large group there are regular coaches trips round the complete route of the 'Ring of Kerry'. For the more adventurous (and brave) you can hike a designated route around the Ring.
There are plenty of other activities to participate in when visiting Killarney including:
Horse Riding
Quad Biking
Golf
Outlet Shopping Centre
Killarney Races
Cycling
Food & Drink
Once you have exhausted all that Killarney has to offer there are other great places to visit such as...

Advantages: stunning location, large rooms Disadvantages: located outside town centre - best accessed by car
...and pastries. Tea/coffee and toast is served to your table.
I think there are some great deals out there for this hotel, especially out of season - we certainly found the hotel to be really quiet at the beginning of September. Although located outside of the town centre and probably most handy if you have a car I think the hotel does offer a shuttle service into town a couple of times a day. The hotel is well located if you want to head out to do the ring of Kerry (sparing you the traffic of Killarney) - head to Rosbeagh beach for some great views and sea air. However the plus side of being outside of town is the lack of noise and traffic congestion. If you want a peaceful relaxing break with beautiful scenery this is the place to go!!...

Quaint Irish Hotel Review ofBest Western International Hotel, Killarneyby
Maria1256
Advantages: Central location, great food, National Park, Cathedral & Muckross House nearby. Spacious rooms. Nice Staff Disadvantages: Quaint & Traditional-Not modern. Food very Irish & traditional-no asian fusion cooking here
...This hotel is suitable for the traveller looking for an Irish hotel which does Irish style food and plays Irish music live in the bar. If you want a pint of the black stuff and bacon and cabbage then this is the place to go. If you want stark blank homogenous hotel chains then don't come here.
This place has charm and style. its great value for money and gives you an Irish taste. Well worth the trip.
While I was there I did a ring of Kerry tour which the hotel booked for me ad they picked me up at the door so it was hassle free. I also went to a show that night which I again booked through the hotel and it was only across the road in another hotel so again ideal. The staff helped me and pampered me in every way.
Bedrooms are gorgeous, black and cream and beige. Very classy and decadent. Hannigans restaurant is unusual...
