When i was younger my dad was an electronic engineer and his employers sent him to work abroad. As he was going to be away for years we all moved with him to Rio de Janeiro. I was only 3 at the time so i cant remeber much about moving there but i can remember some of the things from when i was older. I was 7 when we moved back to scotland so i experianced the Brazilian school system and learned how to speak potugese although i can remeber a word of it now. I'd love to say that at the time i treated it like it was the best experiance in my life but i was young when we moved there so i didn't really know any different, i always wondered why my family were so excited when they came over to see us. What everyone else thought was tourist attractions was part of everyday life for me. It was just an other weekend at Corcovado or Sugarloaf mountian (I think we have a souvinear for every time we went as there is no space for anything else on the shelfs). It hasn't been until recinly when i was looking at photos of me as a child that i relised how lucky i was to have had an experiance like that. There are not many people that have ben to Brazil and i get to say i lived there. I am also lucky enough to be able to say that my little sister was born in brazil (She loves to tell people this around world cup time ). Its funny because over there they have completly different views on hoe to bring up a child. I can remeber this one time it was raining and my nan had brought a buggy over from the uk for my mum when my sister was born and when we were in the street a woman attaced my mum because she had never seen a rain cover before and thought my mum was trying to suffocate my sister. I can't remeber the street i stayed on but i do know that the street corner was facing copa-cabana beach. (oh how i would love to be there just now!) The street carnivals were the best i can rember hanging out the window throwing riped up newspaper squares at the Brazilian football team as they wre celebrating something (i cant remember if they had just won or not). But that wasn't as good as when the women and men dressed in big glittery costumes (which was normaly just a thong, a bra and a huge head set) went by on the big floats, playing loud music and dancing. For me it was a once in a life time experiance as there is no way i would be able to afford it now. But i would tell anyone to go.

Sorry for the low rate - I found it really hard to read and nothing much about Rio.

Sorry but the review tells me nothing about Rio de Janeiro. If you do update at all please let me know. Just a tip but read and rate reviews that others have done, not only will you see the info and detail they contain, hopefully you can improve on your reviews and get higher ratings. :-)
