Aparthotel Tamaimo Tropical, Tenerife

Advantages: lovely weather, nice hotels, big pools, friendly staff
Disadvantages: a few coakroaches, but only a few... remember to take some bug spray..

severe delays for all flights. We were due to fly out at 7PM, we flew out at 9.30PM in the end. It was a 3hr and 50 minute flight. After transfers we finally arrived at the aparthotel at 3:50AM, very tired. We were greeted on arrival by a nice polite english speaking man on reception. We were checked in very quickly, given our our AI bands and shown straight to our rooms. We asked the receptionist if there was a machine were we could purchase some water. He said as we were AI we could get water straight away and brought us two bottle's to our room. We had been allocated a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment with terrace opposite one of the large pools. The apartment consisted of a bedroom with 2 twin beds, bathroom with bath shower, kitchenette (2 cooking rings, microwave, cooking utensils and a fridge, kettle), satellite TV and a safety ...

Review of Aparthotel Tamaimo Tropical, Tenerife

Club Atlantis, Costa Adeje, Tenerife

Advantages: Quiet and relaxing
Disadvantages: Dingy room and pool area dominated by timeshare owners

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel last summer, having gotten a bargain price through Travel Republic. I think we paid around £150 for the room for the week, which was a good price for a four star hotel in Costa Adeje, one of Tenerife's more family and couple based upmarket resorts. When we arrived it all looked fairly posistive - the reception area was clean and spacious if a little dated and the welcome we received was nice if a little brusque. This became clearly the way staff talked to guests - they bordered on rude at times in spite of our efforts to speak Spanish to them because of their limited English. There was a small shop selling standards such as bottles of water and chocolate so we got some snacks (overpriced but what you expect in a hotel) after our journey and headed off to our room. We were situated ...

Get shot at by a madman at the H10 Adeje Palace

Advantages: Peaceful Location
Disadvantages: Lack of basic shops

We booked a last minute holiday to the Costa Adeje Palace Hotel at Easter this year. Having been to Tenerife before and stayed neared the centre of Playa de Las Americas I was looking for somewhere a bit quieter with good facilities. This certainely fitted the bill. LOCATION It is the last Hotel in Costa Adeje before you reach Caleta. There is a lot of building work going on around but that didnt put us off. Indeed I think when I next go back which I intend to do maybe next Easter it might be too built up round about. It could do with some shopping malls nearbly( to buy the obligotory perfume and girlie things) but I think this will be catered for in the not to distant future. It will certainely be an advantage. We needed some basics juice water etc for the children and my husband walked to the right of the hotel from ...
