As everyone knows, lots of exciting activities in Queenstwon as it's the adventure captial. White-water rafting, helicoper rides, speed jet-boating, even bungy jumping, they're all great fun but expensive as well. Speed jet-boating was my first choice but it lasts only 30 minutes and costs a lot. I didn't want to spend huge money to scare myself to death neither. So bungy jumping was out. Finally I decided to go a half-day Dart River Jetnoat Safari which costed about 89NZD. We booked it in the tourist office the day before and the guide picked us up in hotel at 8 oclock in the morning. We were taken on a drive along Lake Wakatipu to the small town Glenorchy. it was really a very beautiful small town where we had lunch after the exciting three-hour jstboat safari. The River Perak snakes its way through the town and riversafaris are organised. You can go north to Lake Cendering and south to the charming countryside and orchards lining the banks of the river. Accommodation in Kuala Kangsar includes a historic rest house - you can buy your water pitchers here- and the SafariRiver Resort which is a modern well equipped hotel. There are also several budget establishments in town.
The food of KK- as it is affectionally called locally-is very tasty. Try the curry laksa and the chicken rice and if you enjoy seafood ...

Other trips can be paid for at the resort who then put on coaches for you which can include Dunns River and the other side of the Island.
As we have been to the resort 3 times now we are treated visitors but as friends when ever we go back and i would highly recommend anyone to go to Jamaica.
For all of you who have asked for more info, sea and sand are not the only things on the Island by a long shot as i said you can go on trips which you pay for though the resort to places like Dunns river as mentioned above or on riversafaris on the Black river where you can see crocs basking in the sun and if you are brave enough you can even go for a swim.
The is even a trip to the famous Appleton rum plantion where you can sample all of thier wares and be given a free ...
