Parque de La Paz Hotel Review.

Advantages: Excellent location and fantastic value for money. Highly recommended.
Disadvantages: Nothing stands out as being an issue.

Please bear in mind that Holidays in Tenerife are usually aimed at the 18-30 age group. The Parque de La Paz hotel is located in Playa de las Americas on the south of the Island. It is situated nearby a supermarket and a mere 400m from the wonderful beaches. Tenerife's reputation certainly goes before it and I found many of my ideas surrounding the island were wrong. It is true that Tenerife accomodates a large number of english tourists, however, i felt that part of the culture of the island remained in tact and the standards were certainly not low. As for the hotel i thought it was excellent value for money. As a £200 package holiday I felt the rooms were a great standard. Review of Hotel Parque de La Paz, Tenerife

Royal connections but not that luxurious -Durham Marriott hotel

Advantages: Comfortable, convenient for city sight seeing
Disadvantages: luke warm bath water and average food in restaurant

pleasant comfortable surroundings prior to our meal. EATING AREAS: The hotel has two dining rooms the County Restaurant which is more formal with a la carte and a daily table d?hôte menu while the Cruz Brasserie offers a more casual eating experience also serves the buffet breakfast. THE COUNTY RESTAURANT: The tables are well spaced so that you have plenty of privacy but this also meant that I felt the place lacked a bit of atmosphere as we were eating in the middle of an almost empty room. The tables were set with dark monogrammed plates which were removed once we ordered our food. There was quite a wide choice on the menu and with our included dinner most things were included but one or two had a surcharge. Heavenly stay at the Columbus Hotel Monaco

Advantages: Wonderful, modern and relaxing
Disadvantages: None!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Background: The Columbus Hotel is located within the principality of Monaco which is a small area nestled between France and Italy, no longer than 3 miles across! The hotel features 9 floors of cool, contemporary rooms and suites and was constructed in 2003 and is part owned by world renowned racing car driver David Coulthard. The hotel is located in the newly reclaimed area (from the sea!) Font Vielle and is approximately a 15 minute walk into Monte Carlo. The whole around the hotel is clean and new and it is less than a two minute walk to the beach and in under 5 minutes you will have walked to the fashionable Cap D'ail in France.
