This popular restaurant chain has two locations in the Orlando vicinity 2881 S. Orange Avenue and 4155 W.Vine St in Kissimmee. Barrels of monkey nuts are kept by the front door and your server brings you a bucket of them to crack open whilst you look over the extensive menu. The kitchen is open plan and steaks and other meats on offer are displayed in a large fridge in front. The atmosphere is very laid back, with country music playing in the background and soft drinks served in old fashioned jam jars which kids especially love. The menu may include the usual American fayre - huge salads, pastas, seafood, burgers, combos, pot roasts, ribs and steaks but the food is excellent quality and cooked to perfection. I recommend the Baby Back Ribs and The Roadie - a steak soaked in Jim Beam Bourbon Marinade on a skillet over sizzlin' onions - mouth watering! Kids are given their own menu with crayons on arrival (in the form of a placemat with colouring and games to keep them occupied). Options include hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken breast, grilled cheese sandwich and salad with either fries, rice or baby carrots with ranch dressing. Older kids can eat from the Big Bites Appetites which contains scaled down versions of the adult combo choices - Steak and Chicken, Baby Back Ribs & Chicken, Surf & Turf. For dessert the piece de resistance is the Messy Sundae - a huge glass of vanilla ice cream which is smothered and overflowing with hot chocolate fudge sauce, chopped nuts and whipped cream and a cherry - definitely one to be shared!! We've eaten at the Roadhouse on numerous occasions and never had a bad meal which is why its very very popular. If you can, try and eat earlier and get ahead of the crowds. Arrive at the door at 6pm and you'll be sure to find a queue. If you do find you have to wait for a table the restaurant operates a buzzer call back system, there is a games room for kids and limited seating available inside and outside. A great place to eat, chill and enjoy! A locals favourite. Highly recommended.

Good review, in answer to the price of the Messy Sundae, last time we went it was $3.99 which is alot cheaper that the desserts you get in the UK. My son loves the fact that you can you drop the monkey nuts on the floor, it's about the only place he can drop things on the floor without me having a go at him!!! Very good value for money and we have never had a bad meal their either

The Messy Sundae sounds wicked! Is it expensive to eat at, or good value, do you think? Lexy
