Robbos' or robinski's is part of the Its a Scream chain of pubs and is situated in fallowfield on the Wilbraham road.
It is in no uncertain terms a student pub and after 9pm you need a student card to enter most days. Once inside the downstairs is a reasonable size with big sofas located in front of a big projection screen on the right. To the left is an alcove with two tables and another sofa, behind you are two cramped pool tables where the obligatory small pool cues come into play! Ooh and mind your head if your taller than about 6ft 3 whilst playing. straight in front of you lies the most importnat part... the bar. Scattered around you can also find various games machines with students trying to win their fortunes on who wants to be a millonaire. A small dance floor and dj booth is also located in the middle of the downstairs.
Upstairs is to be found the smallest hottest dancefloor to be found probably in Manchester. The bar is squeezed in a corner with a few tables along the side as well. It is dark and the music played is always cheesey with the emphasis on cheeese. Were talking the fresh prince, peter andre and if your lucky shaba ranks.
The best day to go is undoubtedly a monday. Its only a pound a drink! Ill say that again one pound a drink!! with that you can get, Carling, Carlsberg, Tetlys, Reef, J20, bottles of stella, Gin and whisky amongst others. Like most days though after about 11pm it gets busy.
Tuesdays is at the moment ( not sure how long it will last) a vodbul night with double vodka redbulls for a mere pound.
The rest of the week I believe drinks promos are the best you get with larger prices rising to about £1.80. But of course everything is cheaper with a yellow card. Ahh the blessed yellow card your ticket to a drunked night.
summing up, in the evening, the only place to go to drink the night away in fallowfield apart from queen of tarts. Not bad for watching the footy either!
reccomended for a cheap cheesy night of humid fun.
