Well some of the most obvious reasons maybe because of the so called great night life, celebrity profiles and top notch fashion trends!...Or on the other hand maybe you chose a London University simply because you find a course extremely interesting and rewarding and you will work your absolutely arse off to get that first!!..geek!! (only joking)
Either way whatever reason you chose the study in London you must check out the Gardening Club in covent garden! Tuesday night is a student night from 9pm till 3am! £6 Admission and £POUND a drink all night from spirit's to beers (excluding wines & cocktails) with a blend of funk, soul and disco music to groove too! Quality!! You can't ask for much more can you?
The cosy red themed underground club features sofa's, tables and chill out spots! Just make sure you get in early if you'd like to keep it! The club is reasonably big featuring two rooms of pumping sounds and hits its hyper mode around 11pm!
People just dance wherever they can see a space in the club, just keep away from the stairway and don't fall asleep, by doing that you should maintain a fairly decent relationship with the doormen and bouncers!
By the time it hits hyper mode (11-11.30pm) it's usually one in one out!! So you may be waiting for a very long time if you come around that time! Oh and a word of advice for you guys! Whenever you go out, its always a good idea to go in mixed groups, equal boys and equal girls! These dumb ass door men always seem to think a group of lads is always trouble, so get yourself some women!!
People that visit the gardening club and DJ's are generally friendly and down to earth, so it's great for meeting new buddies and students from all over the joint! Maybe you'd even get to meet me there! who knows? I'm a nice guy! honest! Take it easy people and good luck!!!
Advantages: Cheap drinks, good music and good looking people Disadvantages: Dance floor starts quite late, a bit overcrowded
...next to its partnership, The Rock Garden restaurant. From the outside you can't expect much but you are greeted warmly and told where to go. We went on a tuesday night which is notorious for it's cheap student night. May I advise you to go BEFORE 8pm and you'll get in free otherwise you'll have to fork out £6, which isnt at all bad but if you can get in for free, why not?!
On entering, you go down 2 flights of steps and enter a very retro, dim and ... ...grottos. It is a very mellow place with dim, red lighting, making it very relaxed. On Tuesday nights it's HAPPY HOUR until 3am (when the club finishes) at which all bottled drinks are £1.50, all cocktail£3.95 and all pint pitchers £7.95. Very cheap drinks and very worth it. The place only starts to really fill up at about 10pm ranging mostly from the younger, student crowd, but there are small groups of older people. I'd say that the majority of ...

...of the Doc Martins store, Rock Garden is an unknown Gem of London nightlife. It is situated firstly on top with the Cafe part that provides a good range of food that is normally priced. But the nightclub is in the cellers below. It is literally in a number of cellers going half a block down covent garden and this has been separated to allow them to have different music rooms. May I recommend Tuesday nights when the drinks are £1 each till 3am and ... ...dance. The rest of the week they have various bands on that are trying to make it big and before they were big have had U2, Sterophonics, Wet Wet Wet and the like paradeing on their stage. Therefore this is not an 80s rockers hideaway this is a developing club that brings in new talent and you will have a fantastic time there. ...

Review of Rock Garden (London)
Advantages: CHEAP FOR LONDON Disadvantages: RAM PACKED EVERY NITE
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I only went a couple of times at the end of my first year at LSE but can't wait to go back in october. this place is wicked. Its in covent garden which is arguably the best place in london and has a resturant attached to it. I went on a Tuesday night after a few of my mates suggested something different from our usual ... We got there about 11.30 and found it was one in, one out. We qued and eventually got in at 12.00. We were ... ...£3 to get in and then drinks were only £1. This is a bargain in central london, especially as the drinks were not watered down(it is probably quite more expensive on fri/sat)
There are two rooms, one black and one red, both having different types of music ranging from hip hop to brit pop to 1960's. The people are very friendly and atmosphere excellent. It looks like a right seedy joint but is probably the best place in town to get mullered, dance ...

Quick review of Rock Garden (London)
We had heard good things about Flirt at The Gardening Club so went down to see if the legend of half price happy hour really that lasts until 10pm and loads of £2 drinks offers until 3am was correct. It was! The Gardening Club has a friendly laid back and fun vibe. We got in for free and then danced, drank and had a laugh. There are lots of students to banter and flirt with and good fun tunes to dance to. We are going back every Tuesday for the rest of the term... if not year! Try it. ...

THIS PLACE NO LONGER EXISTS!!!!!
I'M WRITING THIS TO WARN PEOPLE THAT THIS PLACE DOESN'T EXIST AND ALTHOUGH IT WAS GOOD DON'T BOTHER GOING TO LOOK FOR IT AS IT ISN'T THERE. THEY'VE REPLACED IT WITH THE HARD ROCK CAFE!
I went many years ago and enjoyed it but I was very young. There used to be lots of cool rock stars in there which was exciting to a 12 year old.
I'm disappointed it has gone because there isn't enough Rock related things to do in London, in fact i've only been to the rock shop in Covent Garden and although they have great stuff in there it's expensive and small.
If it's stars you want to see try Madame Tussards. It's near Baker Street and it's good for a couple of hours entertainment. Extrememly pricey though so book online or try to get a deal with National Rail before you go. ...

in Victorian times, to bring back the drunks and pros into the arms of middleclassness. Go back further still and you could go the Aldgate and find the endearingly named Groppeconte Lane. I wonder what went on there? Nowadays, nothing. It is an anonymous cut between two glass and concrete monstrosities, and a killjoy has changed the name to Leman Street.
There's the Bank of England, countless museums, St Paul's, the Barbican Arts Centre, but the very best thing about this area is the London Wall. Bits of old wall built when the Romans were in charge. The Corporation of London has planted them with rockgardens and benches, and it is a surprise and delight to come upon one of these little havens. I'd sit and drink a huge tea from Bengy's and read my Metro newspaper, but I can't get rid of this feeling someones's watching me.
You can ...
