The ride opened in Paris on March 16, 2001, my first time on the ride was during our visit at New Year 2003; on previous visits I 'wimped out' on trying it - how wrong I was- think of al the rides I missed !!
The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster ( or as we always call it 'Aerosmith' ) is an enclosed, 82-second ride with a roll-over corkscrew feature accompanied by a blasting Aerosmith soundtrack. There are five trains and each of them carries a different soundtrack: Dude Looks Like a Lady, Love in an Elevator / Roller Coaster, Walk This Way / Rock This Way, Nine Lives and Sweet Emotion
The ride is situated in the studios near to the Moteurs Action Stunt Show and is clearly marked by a large colourful sign - : "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster avec Aerosmith". My two daughters, having experienced the ride and loved it eventually persuaded me to go on - I was VERY nervous !!
We had to climb up steps to enter the ride and found ourselves in a room with display cases exhibiting a series of guitars from famous rockstars. We were then told that we had "access all areas" status and went through to the "hall of fame" which was decorated with posters and memorabilia from the last fifty years of rock music. Then we waited for the doors to open to the "studio" itself ( all this depends on the length of the queue for the ride - I have been very lucky to have been on many occassions when we have literally just walked straight on to the ride) When the doors opened, we shuffled into a small room for a pre-show where we saw an actual Aerosmith recording session. In the foreground, were microphones and instruments; in the background, was the control room, where a producer was working. The whole impression was of a real studio.
Aerosmith, led by singer Steven Tyler then entered this 'studio' and Tyler went on to describe the ride, next thing the door to the ride itself opens as we have a 'VIP pass' to try out the ride. After a short while, a door opens, and we were invited to 'walk this way' and there we were the carriage - my heart was beating very quickly now - what had I let myself in for? The "Soundtrackers" taking us on our trip look a lot like the Space Mountain ones but are longer and passengers sit two-abreast and each train holds 28 passengers. We hopped in ( in my case very nervously!!), pulled the safety bars over our shoulders, the train rumbled into launch position and waited for an electronic signboard to give us the go-ahead. Loudspeakers in our headrests start to pump out a familiar Aerosmith tune - this time it was Love in an Elevator. (lean your head back against the headrest when the music starts to get the full effect.) The electronic screen was showing a countdown which all added to the atmosphere, and built up tension superbly ( a bit too much for me!!). When we finally got the green light - after hearing 3 -2 -1- we hurtled forward into the dark and blasted through a full 360-degree loop-de-loop and hurtle twisting and banking onward into the dark. With Steve Tyler yelling 'Going Down' in my ear I spun through a tight corkscrew loop and was swept around tight bends. Despite the dramatic motion, the entire ride was remarkably smooth, the transitions from one section to the next were seamless. There were no stomach-wrenching drops and even when I was upside upside down in the initial loop I felt very secure feels - hooray for G forces!!
The combined effects of motion, darkness, light, and sound blended together into an incredibly satisfying experience which ends up as you slowly travel through a tunnel back to the station with some VERY bright lights flashing in your eyes - of course at the shop!!
I got out of the train with a huge smile plastered across my face and uttered the famous words 'are we going again!!'

...both the parks. The Aerosmith Rock and roller coaster is situated in the smaller of the two parks, The Walt Studios. Personally this was by far the best ride for me at Disneyland and so I shall share the details of what made it so much fun!
First of all to actually get in the park you will need a disney park ticket which can be bought as part of a package uin the UK or you can buy them at the gates when you get to Disneyland.
Where is the ride:
... ...of the reason behind the rock and roller coaster name. Each seat has the speaker right behind the head section so that you can hear it loud and clear! The ride is mainly in the dark but there is flashing lights just like being in a disco as you go around the track. Again this is probably not suitable for some people because of this element.
The first bit of the ride is one of the best bits as it shoots you off at high speed - once riders are in ...

*~*Queuing for the Ride*~*
The queue as far as I can remember is exactly the same as the ride in MGM Hollywood Studios Park in Florida that is mainly outside and the shorter part of the queue is inside a fictional recording studio.
As you enter the recording studios behind the glass you can see ... ...whether these are a genuine replica who knows but as it is Disney I would be pretty sure that these are the real thing.
This area passes the time in the constantly moving queue before leading you through a turnstile into a corridor to enter the recording studio itself. The corridor is split into two and the left queue will take you to the top of the studio and the right hand queue will take you to the bottom half of the queue but either queue will ...

Advantages: One amazing coaster Disadvantages: None
The Rock n Roller Coaster, in Disneyland Paris, located in Walt Disney Studios is one of the fastest roller coasters at Disneyland Paris and has such a great personality. The roller coaster is based around the rock band, "Aerosmith". The roller coaster is called "Rock n Roller Coaster Avec Aerosmith". It is located near the entrance to the Disneyland Paris entrance, near Disney Village which is a small village based on Disney, different characters. ... ...in the Walt Disney Studio. A map can be picked up for directions to this ride, and other rides.
Entry to Disneyland varies, but the price for a child's day entry to Disneyland Paris, or Walt Disney Studios is €25. I think the price is worth it, but if you are after a day full of rides, you are better of going to the main Disneyland Paris park, not the Walt Disney Studios, as there as around ten times as many rides. The Walt Disney Studios is features ...

...going on was the Aerosmith Rock and rollercoaster as this seemed to be the one that was rated the highest in terms of being the best coaster there.
Which park is it in?
The Aerosmith rock and rollercoaster is located in the Walt Disney Studios park and is then located in the ‘backlot’ area of the park. Fairly easy to find as the Studios park is just next door to the main Disneyland park.
What kind of ride is it?
The ride is a full on rollercoaster ... ...listening to a bit of rock music! Then the actual ride is inside in the dark with lots of neon lights and funky colours. All of this combined makes the ride even better than just being a normal coaster in the dark! Any restrictions?
The ride is of course restricted to those over a certain height which is 1.20m and of course being a fast coaster with all these elements the ride is definitely not ideal for those who have heart problems or pregnant ...

...favourite rides has to be Rock n roller coaster!
This ride is situated in the newer of the two parks in The MGM studios in which there are some of my favourite rides as well as Rock n Roller including Tower of Terror and Crush's Coaster (from finding Nemo). To get into the park there are lots of ways such as Package holidays or staying in the Disney hotels or accommodation or just buying a single day ticket for one or both parks.
Rock n Roller ... ...the back corner and has to be one of the best rides in the whole park - and having experienced the same ride in Florida in Disney world, I would certainly say this one in Paris is much better.
The ride:
I found this ride to have a very short queue despite it being such a great ride and in the peak time of the year - I think this is due to the people who visit mainly being with younger children who wouldn't really enjoy this ride or wouldn't recognise ...
