Myself and my Wife travelled to Disneyland in December 2006 and whilst there had entry tickets to both the parks. The Aerosmith Rock and roller coaster is situated in the smaller of the two parks, The Walt Studios. Personally this was by far the best ride for me at Disneyland and so I shall share the details of what made it so much fun!
First of all to actually get in the park you will need a disney park ticket which can be bought as part of a package uin the UK or you can buy them at the gates when you get to Disneyland.
Where is the ride: Very easy to find once you are inside the park as the signs direct you but, once you enter the park you simply follow the path around to the left hand side into the 'Backlot' area of the park. When you follow the signs around
to it you'll soon be able to spot the attraction as there is a massive guitar billboard along with a ride track with the name of the ride above it. Not very difficult to find at all. When we went to Disney they were in the process of building the 'The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror' ride so all you do is simply walk to the left of this attraction to get to the Aerosmith ride.
What type of ride is it: The ride is of the rollercoaster variety and because it is a high speed one it is the type with the overhead bars to secure riders in. The ride is quite a long carriage with about 12-14 pods on it. Each pod carries 2 passengers. The ride has loops and sharp turns in it and is is quite a dark enviroment so if this doesn't sound like your kind of thing avoid at all costs!!
The queue area: As it is a disney park all the attractions tend to be decorated in a more over the top way than normal rides at theme parks and this one is no exception. The queue is really all part of it and is actually pretty impressive. When you are queing you first go into the area where their is various signed photos and memorabilia hung up and things like guitars etc. Then as you pass into the next room this is where they have a fake recording studio set up behind a glass wall. At the back of this they then have a video playing of the band Aerosmith along with one of their managers who then tells them to get to the studio and they then tell everyone to join them. As they do that the doors open into the next area which is where the ride is. It is pretty good all the effort gone into making this one ride so thumbs up for that and plus it is a good way of passing the time stood in the queue if you have something to watch or look at. The queues can sometimes be very long but when we were there we got on fairly quickly as we got in the park as it opened and even managed to get on agaian pretty much straight away. It does depend on when you visit as to how busy it will be.
The experience of the ride: The ride may just be a rollercoaster and yes we get these all over but what makes this ride better is that it has music playing in every seat. Obvisouly Aerosmith music as that is the name but for anyone who hasn't been on it this is all part of the reason behind the rock and roller coaster name. Each seat has the speaker right behind the head section so that you can hear it loud and clear! The ride is mainly in the dark but there is flashing lights just like being in a disco as you go around the track. Again this is probably not suitable for some people because of this element. The first bit of the ride is one of the best bits as it shoots you off at high speed - once riders are in the carriage goes around to the tunnel section and stops again. The clock comes up and counts down from 3-1 and as it gets to 1 it shoots off at a speed of up to 100km in 3 seconds. It is wise to put your head firmly back in the seat for this bit!
Photos: You can buy photos from the shop at the end of the ride - I cannot remember the exact cost but I 'm sure it was in the region of 6-7 euros for one photo. Expensive really but about the same as every other theme park. The shop also sells a variety of goods like t shirts, pens, keyrings and the other usual gift shop stuff.
Overall this is my favourite ride at Walt studios as I have yet to experience the new tower of terror ride and so can't say whether it is better or not but I still think it will remain in my list of top ones to ride at Disneyland Paris.

Excellent review. I love this ride! My friend and I went to Disneyland about five years ago and I think we went on this several times in a row because the queue was so short.
