I have just been to Disneyland Paris with my family last week on our summer holidays and had loads of fun at the parks and in particular one of my favourite rides has to be Rock n roller coaster!
This ride is situated in the newer of the two parks in The MGM studios in which there are some of my favourite rides as well as Rock n Roller including Tower of Terror and Crush's Coaster (from finding Nemo). To get into the park there are lots of ways such as Package holidays or staying in the Disney hotels or accommodation or just buying a single day ticket for one or both parks. Rock n Roller Coater as I said is situated in the studios at the back corner and has to be one of the best rides in the whole park - and having experienced the same ride in Florida in Disney world, I would certainly say this one in Paris is much better.
The ride:
I found this ride to have a very short queue despite it being such a great ride and in the peak time of the year - I think this is due to the people who visit mainly being with younger children who wouldn't really enjoy this ride or wouldn't recognise it greatly as it is not like Peter Pan's which is obviously a Disney favourite. As a result the queue was only 5 minutes long and there was loads of signed guitars and CDs from famous bands and singers. There is even a final section where the band Aerosmith are playing and then talk to you - just prerecorded thing but is very good. There is also a fast pass option in which you can jump the queue.
The actual ride is great in which the idea is that you are on the way to a concert but are late and in a hurry and get in a car - with a whole line of seats in which you sit in pairs. You then go round the corner and have speakers in the headrest with a big countdown down from 3. 3...2...1...GO! and you are shot extremely fast down a tunnel - the point where the photo is taken so make those funny faces, and are sent straight into the main ride. In the ride you are sent straight into a 360 degrees loop and shot past loads of flashing lights. There are several sudden stops and then you are again shot into the distance on a corkscrew. This ride is great as you also have, music coming from the headrest such as "Walk this way!" And it is a comfortable ride without being shaken around so much and you can't really tell what way up you are facing!
The ride isn't too long because you are going so fast but it is really fun and exciting. At the end you come to a stop and are released into the shop where you can buy loads of merchandise for the ride as well as having a look at the funny photo that was taken at the beginning of the ride!
Great fun for anyone who loves roller coasters and certainly one of the best rides in Disney land Paris. There is a height restriction of 1.32m so it is not suitable for younger kids, but if you are tall enough then this is not to be missed.
