I visited Gibralter about 2 years ago when I was holidaying in the costa del sol...
As you may know, you can use British currency in Gilbralter to pay for goods which are dirt cheap, eg a bottle of Grants Vodka was 1.80!!
There are many shops there, including big names like Clinique, etc, all offering a great range of products at very very low prices. You are, however, restricted to what you can take back out - Gibralter has its own Customs and Excise are which you have to pass through both entering and leaving and I must say they are very strict - I got my bag searched as did a load of other people.
Other than the shops, a visit to see the gorillas who reside on the rock is on offer and if that doesnt interest you why not go out on the boat and see the dolphins?
