Luxury Hotel boasts an enviable setting. Located just steps away from the famous, sandy beaches of Catania yet within easy reach of the city centre and airport - it is in something of a tranquil, idyllic spot. The hotel features many an impressive guest amenity such as a large swimming pool with Jacuzzi. The hotel offers 104 luxury rooms and suites, all offering a private balcony or terrace, freshly laundered bed linen, the softest, fluffiest towels, natural stone walls and refined furnishings (the Moroccan, Gold and White Baroque, Japanese and Middle East Suite are particularly special!). The hotels gastronomic offerings are certainly something to be savoured! Delicious, à la carte dining can be found in the fabulous Il Coriandolo restaurant whilst the Blu Roof Restaurant offers casual, lighter bites. Whatever you have in mind ? there will be something for you at The Romano Palace Luxury Hotel.

Advantages: Very comfortable beds Disadvantages: Location, Poor room service
...etc. I wished I had booked the Una Palace in Via Etnea, which looked brilliant. It is in the main shopping street with loads of cafes, bars, shops etc. and has a roof terrace which would give brilliant views of the volcano. I thought about moving hotels, but couldn't afford to pay again.
My hotel room was very comfortable and clean with a modern bathroom with the usual toiletries. A reasonable buffet breakfast is included in the price. Room service seemed very restricted – although the bar did toasted sandwiches.
If you are on a tight budget, advance internet booking on Best Western's website gives good value for money for the Hotel Mediterraneo. However, I don’t think this hotel would suit everyone. It certainly wouldn't impress the girlfriend and I wouldn’t want my mother walking round there on her own at night. The streets were...

Advantages: Fantastic Business Hotel Disadvantages: None
...As a business Women I rarely have time to sit down and write a review on a place I have been to. However on this occasion, I have made time as the Palacehotel in Torquay, which I recently attended for a conference, was outstanding. The luxury and status of the hotel clearly shined through in both the exterior and interior appearance. The large rooms where clean, well styled and extremely practical, providing myself with a very high quality experience. After the conference, I retired to a cosy and exceptional room where I was pampered with a deluxe bed, modernised bathroom and fresh fruit. Moreover I was able to spend the evening socialising with colleagues over a game of snooker and a first class glass of wine with a friendly and well mannered group of hotel staff. All in all the conference was made perfect by the exceptional facilities...

Advantages: A fantastic holiday experience Disadvantages: Location, in particular for those with mobility problems although the hotel is disability friendly.
...INTRODUCTION
The Riu Palace in Madeira sits like a white-washed fairytale castle with terracotta turrets, corner towers and grand archways looking out over the sapphire-blue sea. The grounds house brightly coloured flowers and palm trees making you believe you are on a Caribbean island far away.
The Riu Palace is located right on the seafront at Canico de Baixo, only 10 minutes drive from Funchal Airport and 20 minutes drive to the city of Funchal. On arrival at the airport everything ran smoothly and quickly apart from me not recognising my own suitcase!!! We were driven to the hotel in a small mini bus with 5 other people and half an hour later we were sunbathing by the pool. Now that's what I call service.
CHECK IN
From the moment you check in at the impressive, grand reception area with its polished marble flooring, elegant...

The Palace Hotel in Buxton, Derbyshire, is an amazing hotel. It is an RAC 4* accredited hotel and my partner and I went on a 2 night leisure break there for Easter. We chose this particular hotel because it has a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and more
When Lee Mead won BBC's 'Any Dream Will Do' my mum was ecstatic. She had probably spent half her wages voting for him, so tickets to see him play Joseph were an obvious choice for her birthday in November last year. Thinking it was a brilliant idea,... more
