An impartial view of zermatt

Advantages: Fantastic Food, shops, atmosphere, scenery and snow
Disadvantages: Nothing compared to the advantages

?Zermatt is a place all skiers must go to before they die? Well, the guide books that state that are spot on. It?s that time of year again, when keen skiers & boarders start to think about their next winter holiday, and where it should be this year. Well, if you haven?t tried Zermatt, Switzerland, then this resort should be near the top of your list. It?s simply excellent. I have been there several times, and love it. There?s a charm, a magic that runs through the lively and attractive village. The lifts are fast and efficient and the runs which take you through stunning scenery, seem to always be in excellent condition. Zermatts height affords the resort a fantastic snow record with skiing from early on in the season till mid April. The resort has three main mountains. Rothorn, Gornergrat and Klein Matterhorn. All three offer fantastic ...

Review of Zermatt (Switzerland)

Typhoon hits Tokyo

Advantages: further character and plot development within the Junjou Romantica and Egoist story arcs
Disadvantages: mature content, not for the easily embarrassed, must read first volume before this one

The second instalment of the Junjou Romantica manga franchise brings us the more of the same two couples we first met in volume one. But while the cover once more features Misaki and Usagi-san, a large portion of the book actually focuses on the lives of Hiroki and Nowaki in the Junjou Egoist arc. Plot wise, the stories here run in a parallel that gives symmetry, as each couple face a personal crisis of self, and realise the deepness of their true feelings for one another. In the case of Misaki, he has now been living with Usami-san, nickname Usagi, for one month. His older brother Akihiko is obviously comfortable with the tutoring in exchange for housework arrangement with his childhood friend that he has made on Misaki's behalf, and has simply left them to it. For Misaki, however, things are not quite so simple. In close quarters ...

Bashful Butterflies Take Flights of Fancy

Advantages: further character and plot development within the Junjou Romantica and Egoist story arcs
Disadvantages: mature content, not for the easily embarrassed, must read two volumes before this one

. Why can't Nowaki just co-operate for once? He's either a bad patient, or something other than a cold is wrong with him. Will Nowaki open up from his usual reticence and to say how he feels, and will Hiro stop obsessing and ranting long enough to see what is actually happening? And just who is this man from Hiro's past who suddenly shows up, seeming to want to stick his nose in? This third volume of Junjo Romantica is a nice step back from the previous two volumes' chase me 'til you caught me plotlines. Having firmly caught each other, this time our two couples are exploring the ins and outs of what it means to actually be in a "proper" relationship. For our Egoist couple, it means learning to unbend and take time to actually communicate with each other instead of at each other. Hiro's promise from the end of volume 2, to take time to ...
