The harbour city of ancient rome
Advantages: See the past Disadvantages: none
Ostia Antica is an ancient archeological site. One of the best preserved site in Rome. Ostia antica was the harbour city of ancient Rome.
I am telling about a site of nearly 2000 years ago: walking along its stretts, u can se the way of life of the ancient Romans. The site was built on the mouth of the Tiber river: today the whole site is very farer than in the past: the sand trasported by the waters in the centuries, created new lands. Today Ostia ... ...river".
In the ancient times, Ostia was one of the most vivacious cities of the roman empire: it was built in the middle of important commercial paths. Its importance grow under Adriano when in Ostia were till 100.000 inhabitants.
The ruins are exceptionally conserved: the site, as i can know, is second in beautifulness at Pompei ruins.
Near to the roman ruins, there is the old castle of pope Giulio II (XV century) and the old village with the ...

Love It or Hate It - You Decide...
Advantages: It's central, has a great view, interesting exhibit Disadvantages: It's not loved, because of it's appearance.
...what is beautiful in architecture), Il Vittoriano is a monument dedicated to the first king of a united Italy, Vittorio Emmanuell II. Until this time, Italy had been a series of fragmented states, governed or ruled by various foreign powers, including the Spanish Bourbon family and the Austrian Metternich empire. Piedmont in the north was the only one to not be ruled by a foreign presence, but for a long while suffered due to despotic and reactionary ... ...Also, the top of the Il Vittoriano is connected to the campidoglio, saving you another climb of the capitoline hill. It's worth going this way to look around too. There are some parking spaces out the back, which will help if you want to do this the other way around!
Overall, there's not much else to say about it, as I'm sure many locals feel! In my opinion, visually it's excellent to go and have a look at and to visit the museum. But I can appreciate ...

Piazza del Popolo - A Brief Review
Advantages: Near to other attractions, great places to get lunch and coffee Disadvantages: Out of the way a bit.
Piazza del Popolo is north east of the city centre and located just above tourist attractions such the Spanish Steps and some great streets for shopping that the Italians frequently visit themselves. It's near to the mauseleum of Hadrian and just below a fantastic park, Borghese, that's great to eat lunch and relax in. The squares name is derrived from the modern Italian for 'the peoples square'. The church that stands on one side of the square, ... ...the city.
From the Piazza you can get to Borghese Park very easily (just up some stairs to the right), which has an excellent view over the city and many other attractions. It's a beautiful place to take a lunch bought from a small side street deli and sit, eat and enjoy the lush park. It's a large space so isn't overly crowded and is nice to visit to just get out of the way of all the crowds at the Spanish Steps. It's worth walking up Via del Babuino ...

Piazza Cavour
Advantages: Cinema, Church, local shopping an cafes. Disadvantages: Not too much for tourists.
.
Piazza Cavour is a square in Rome, which is mostly residential and partially commercial. There are no real tourist attractions on Pizza Cavour, but it's possible that you might visit it for the annual book fair or pass through if you're doing a lot of walking in Rome. It's a useful route from the Vatican to the north eastern side of the city (Piazza del Popolo, Spanish Steps, Via del Corso etc).
Where is it?
It's located just off Via Crescenzo, ... ...Vatican Museum (Sistine Chapel) to Piazza Cavour. It's also just north of Via Triboniano which is the closest road running north from the bridge directly south of Piazza Cavour. If you're coming from the north of the city then you can reach by travelling south on the Via Lucrezio. What's On It?
Well, not too much for tourists but there are some attractions here. There's a great big statue of Camillo Benso di Cavour, who was a Piedmontese statesman ...

Worlds smallest country.
Advantages: Huge variety of art. Disadvantages: Tiring amount of things to look at.
Sistine Chapel in Vatican has a huge huge variety of artisans to look at. Its ideal for people who are intrested in ancient art and artifacts. The only downside is you have to wait 4 hours in a huge line to just buy the ticket. The line starts from St. Peters Basilica and stretches to the Sistine Chappel which moves in a very very very small pace and by the time you reach the ticket spot its 4 hours done. When we went it was raining heavily and we ... ...rediculous umbrellas in robbing prices. The trick is to wait until many people come to you and buy it in a rock bottom price. belive me, I bought a umbrella for 2 Euros which was formally said 10 Euros. The ticket might set you back some what in the region of 10 euros. Inside, you get to see more and more paintings by all famous artist Leonardeo Da Vinci, Michelangelo ets...
Inside the chapel there are plenty to see. Where ever to turn to get to ...
