This airport is quite small so it is easy to navigate. The baggage did not take too long to arrive after we did and the staff there were friendly and helpful. It is very easy to find your way from the airport into Rome, the best way is probably to take the local bus to the closest metro station as this is the cheapest option (taxis and a more expensive bus directly into the city are also available). It is much more difficult getting back to the airport however, as taking the same route means you go on a 40 minute detour around a small town (so make sure you plan to leave early or take a different route). Departing from the airport is simple enough, but there are only a few facilities for shopping and eating.
