I stayed in the Hotel Michelangelo while on a work trip to Rome in December 2007 and i can't fault the hotel. We were holding a conference in their meeting rooms and they were nothing short of amazing in terms of helping us plan the event. As a place to stay, the hotel was perfect. ...value for money and helped make our conference such a success. The breakfasts were brilliant and plentiful and the buffet lunch we had was great. The hotel is in the perfect spot for sightseeing in Rome. We arrived late at night, but headed straight out to explore the city - easy to do with such a perfect location right next to St Peter's - i could see the dome from my bedroom!! Pisana Palace more like Pisana Hostel

Advantages: Nice resturant
Disadvantages: Far out, dated, horrid

...in April and booked this Hotel through Expedia as it was stated at 4*. Upon arrival to the Hotel, it was all old fashioned and quite dingey. Inside the carpets had stain's on and the Hotel lobby was very basic, few chairs dotted around. The staff were not exactly friendly and didnt like to be put out of their way to help you. There were 3 telephone booths in the lobby, one for cards and 2 for cash. The lifts could fit a few people in at anytime ...
...no good view. The Hotel is situated quite far out from the town and is a 15 minute bus journey to the Vatican. The Hotel does supply a shuttle bus 6 times a day 3 in the morning and 3 in the late afternoon/evening for 9 euro per person to the Airport. The hotel does have a resturant which was the nicest part of the hotel and the meals are reasonably priced. The hotel is supposed to have a bar but there was NO sight of any bar when we went there ...

Review of Hotel Pisana Palace, Roma

Perfect for a short visit

Advantages: Location and helpfulness of staff.
Disadvantages: Rooms were too hot.

So many might be put off because it is a chain hotel however positioning of this hotel is perfect. Just a few streets away you will find yourself in the Vatican City. However the management of the hotel was organised the rooms were clean and staff were more than willing to give a reccomendation all resturants recommended to us were excellent). SUMMIT? JUST THE OPPOSITE!

Advantages: continental breakfast; outdoors swimming pool
Disadvantages: THE ENTIRE HOTEL BADLY NEEDS RESTORATION, REFURBISHING & SANITATION!

I stayed at Summit from 14th to 16th May 2008. Location is TRAGIC. It is not in Rome, franklly speaking, it is hardly in Rome. Rather in some village. It takes 3 (THREE) hours to walk from Colosseum (and other places of interest) to Summit. Going by bus will hardly help as the bus runs once per hour. The place itself is easily recognizable by a smell of horseshit. There are marks of water on the walls and ceilings in all parts of the hotel. And it ...

The breakfast is served only from 7 am - even if we had to leave to Rome for the forum and conference (which, thank God, was not held at "Summit") at 7:45 already. Review of Summit Roma Hotel, Rome

Best 1 star hotel I have stayed at

Advantages: Nice rooms, good breakfast with excellent coffee
Disadvantages: Located a bit out of town, no safe, next to the railway,shower curtain

...we decided to stay at Express By Holiday Inn San Giovanni located at Via Assisi 53. We had to pay 125 € per room. Arriving in Rome We landed in Rome at about 11 am in the morning of October 21st. We walked over to the train station at Leonardo da Vinci airport also known as Fiumicino (FCO). From here you can take the Leonardo Express to Termini but since the hotel is located on the way we decided to go for a local train direction Orte-Fara Sabina ...
