Hotel D'ESTE GOOD LOCATION FOR ARRIVING
Review of D'Este Hotel, Rome by poshtroika

Advantages: MARCO's TEA ROOM
Disadvantages: Closer to Station than main Attractions.

We stayed at this Hotel 2 years ago and I would certainly give it more than a One Star rating as it has in the Product Listing. This hotel is very well located if you are using either the Easyjet or Ryanair Buses from the Ciampano Airport. They drop off near the Railway Station, so also good if arriving in Rome by Train. The buses actually drop off on the Oposite side of the station, so you will need to go past the front of the station, cross the ...
...station at your back, you soon come to Carlo Alberto the road the Hotel is in. There is a very large Church at the end of the Road, Santa Maria Maggiore so if stuck ask for directions to this Church, the locals are more likely to know this. The Hotel has a small lobby but very helpful friendly staff. There seems to be quite a few nice DEEP LEATHER chairs to sit about in if your room is not quite ready. We found the rooms very good, beds comfortable, ... Read review

When In Rome...
Review of Hiberia Hotel, Rome by lilmsnaughty1979

Advantages: Great Location, Great Room, Friendly Staff
Disadvantages: Lack of Wardrobe Space

When In Rome… = When we decided to go to Rome we initially looked for a package deal, however, it soon became clear that this wasn't going to be practical and it would be far better to organise it ourselves. The first thing we did was to look for accommodation, of course this can be a mine field, some were just too far away from the centre and some just had awful reviews on tripadvisor.com (an invaluable resource). Eventually, after ...
...hotel, it was pretty much in the centre of the tourist attractions and had good reviews so we decided to book it, we were not disappointed. The hotel is three star (Ciao's description says one star for some reason). The outside of the hotel is very nice, a traditional six storey building like most in Rome with a rusty clay look. It is on a corner. You can't miss it as it's got a large sign outside with a clock on it. When we went in we were greeted ... Read review

Good hotel at a good price
Review of Holiday Inn Express Rome East, Rome by moneybags_82

Advantages: Free Continental Breakfast, shuttle bus to the metro, cheap, comfortable
Disadvantages: Not enough around the actualy hotel to do

...As with every Express by Holiday Inn, they are all very similar and this one was no different. As we arrived in Rome around 9.30pm and had never been before we took a taxi to the hotel. This didn't take very long and cost €55 but between 3 people this was fine. The hotel offered a price of €50 to pick 2 people up in a private car waiting at the airport where someone waits with a sign with your name on it. As there were 3 of us it made more sense ...
...arrived at the hotel after 10pm it was very quiet in check in was quick and simple. I gave my name and everyone staying was asked for their passport. A copy of all passports were taken and we were issued with our keycard. Our room was on the 6th floor and the lifts were next to reception so very each to get to. Hotel Rooms I had booked a room with a double bed and also a sofa bed as there were 3 of us staying in the one room. The keycard has to ... Read review

Best Western Hotel Piccadilly Rome
Review of Hotel Piccadilly, Rome by kateschweizer

Advantages: Clean, friendly, good location, good value
Disadvantages: None - perhaps not luxurious enough for some

Have just come back from 3 nights at this hotel. The room was quite large with a 6ft bed and all the facilities that you may want. Had a big mirror, wardrobe, safe box, minibar, telephone, flatscreen tv, and lots of surfaces. It had an ensuite which again was perfectly clean and roomy - more than sufficient. There was nothing luxurious about the room, but it was plenty big enough, had all the facilities we wanted, was clean and well-kept, and generally ...
...in the price - the food wasn't top quality but plenty good enough. They provide a good range of food and teas and coffees. It is served in a dining room that overlooks the city, and it is done nicely, with small tables, and decorated with lots of flowers. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and even helped to tape my broken suitcase back together :( they have plenty of good recommendations for restaurants etc. and provided us with a map and ... A friendly staffed hotel
Review of Relais Vaticano, Rome by funky_frankie888

Advantages: Clean, comfortable, helpful staff
Disadvantages: None!

...is very fast and often wreckless and drivers do not always stop to let pedestrians cross the roads. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and air-conditioned and the atmosphere was very friendly. I would strongly recommend the Relais Vaticano hotel for short stays. ... Read review
