An expensive Roman orgy!
Review of Valadier Hotel, Rome by ultracoolgiovanni

Advantages: location, beautiful rooms, clean, tidy, rooftop terrace
Disadvantages: staff are unwelcoming at first

...so I decided upon the Valadier hotel due to its reasonable prices, good write up on a few traveling websites and its location. Set off on a cobbled side street off the Piazza del Popolo, the hotel has 60 guest rooms and is approximately 35km (approximately 21 miles) from Fuimicino Airport and is within walking distance of the Rome metro system and most of the main sights to see when visiting Rome. In terms of distance, the Spanish Steps are only ...
...a hotel named after Giuseppe Valadier who designed the Piazza del Popolo in the early 1800s. As I approached the front doors after finally finding the side street off the Piazza del Popolo I was filled with a sense of dread. I had paid 170 Euros (approximately £130) per night for a standard double room so was expecting a pretty top notch hotel only to be greeted by a rather dull façade that looked grimy and in need of a good sandblasting. The fears ... Read review

Best Location In Rome
Review of Emmaus, Rome by Ottavia

Advantages: Location, space, staff are friendly, air con
Disadvantages: None

. The Emmaus hotel (three star), centrally located, with plenty of amenities on its door step, spacious rooms and friendly, helpful staff, makes a fantastic hotel. Whether a short break in Rome or a few weeks holiday, Emmaus has so many advantages that it makes any length of stay a stress free and pleasant visit. It's located on Via delle Fornaci (25), which is practically in the Pope's lap. To get to it you can take the Via Di Ciampino road, turning ...
...find yourself in the city. Just follow the signs to the centre and head north . Emmaus is minutes away from the Vatican (one hundred yards to be exact), so once you see that then you're almost there. Or you could take the train from Ciampino airport (Ciampino FS) to Stazione Termini. The fare is €2 and you'll be able to buy your ticket at the desk or news-stand and stamp it in one of the machines before you board a train There's plenty on this street, ... Read review

Cardinal Hotel - Not Bad, Not Bad
Review of Cardinal Hotel St. Peter, Roma by burns2007

Advantages: Reception, Balcony, Breakfast Bar, Rooms
Disadvantages: First Impression

...the taxi to find the Cardinal Hotel, St Peters. - The Address The address suggests that the hotel is basically on the door step of the Vatican its self. I have no idea why it was so similar to the address of the actual St Peters because the Cardinal Hotel is on the out skirts of the city. Even one or two of the taxi drivers who had been around for a while weren't sure where it was. To get to the hotel you have to turn off a main road after avoiding ...
...I first walked into the Cardinal Hotel I found a lounge where you could wait or relax, open to the elements which lead to the reception. When approaching the reception it gave me a very professional impression with clocks for around the world lined up on the wall behind the reception as well as a spotless desk which ran from one side of the room to the other. To Italian staff there were very friendly helping where ever they could from an enquiry ... Read review
