Sharing my experience of the Sheraton Roma

Advantages: Comfortable hotel - handy for the metro
Disadvantages: Characterless - can be expensive

It's a breeze to find - take junction 26 on the ring road and head for central Rome. Don't bother

Advantages: Not a lot
Disadvantages: A lot

I booked into this hotel on the basis that it was relatively cheap for a so called 4 star hotel. Pros: - Staff were friendly - Rooms were actually appartments with fridges etc Cons: - Rooms were very old fashionned - did not seem to have been decorated for 30 odd years. - No bath, only a shower. - Shower did not drain very well and therefore had to limit showers to a couple of mins. - There was a high charge to use the swimming pool (may ...
...Most guests were american school children - not the most relaxing - Breakfast was poor at best - There was a charge for car parking (10 euro a day I think) - It is difficult to get to and from the airport so taxi is essential - The underground station was a fair walk and the area is not very nice (we had an attempted pickpocketting and mugging). When In Rome...

Advantages: Fantastic location, brilliant service, immaculate

Advantages: 24 kms from Fiumicino Airport.

The Crowne's not fit for a king

Advantages: Comfortable, clean, pleasant staff
Disadvantages: Mix up at check-in, restaurant v. expensive,
