Rome rocked

Advantages: Excellent strategy game
Disadvantages: Not for those without time on their hands.

. The imperial campaign option allows you to choose one of three houses, all allies, and manage them, your ultimate aim to capture 50 provinces and take over Rome. There is no best one, but it is said that the green House of Bruti is the strongest(apparently). It is different to the prologue in that you start off with just a couple of cities, possibly in debt, and have to raise them up, and just like in real life, once you enter the spiral of debt, it just keeps on increasing!! Mulitplayer is just that, playing against other people online, although i havent played it yet therefore i cannot comment on how it works. The historical battle sections is one of my favourites, it contains pre set famous battles from the past, and allows you to take the position of one of the armies, it is even possible to save the battle replay. For replay value this ...

Ciao Bella! - The Best of Rome

Advantages: A lifetime of sights to see, excellent transport, amazing ice cream
Disadvantages: Very busy

I visited here with two student friends in 2003, on a mission to soak up a lot of culture, have a great time and not spend much money, and we did pretty well on all counts. After sitting through years of torturous Latin lessons at school, I had high hopes for the city. We managed to find possibly the strangest hotel in Rome to stay in, the Hotel Giarda, near Stazione Termini, where they monitored our every movements through strategically placed security cameras, and the chamber maids had a good daily rifle through our luggage, but other than that it was well situated for exploring. Here are my top Roma sights (in no particular order): Vatican City: Even though this is slap bang in the middle of Rome, the Vatican is technically an independent state, with the Pope as sovereign, its own post office and legal system, and definitely ...

Best Location In Rome

Advantages: Location, space, staff are friendly, air con
Disadvantages: None

. The Emmaus hotel (three star), centrally located, with plenty of amenities on its door step, spacious rooms and friendly, helpful staff, makes a fantastic hotel. Whether a short break in Rome or a few weeks holiday, Emmaus has so many advantages that it makes any length of stay a stress free and pleasant visit. It's located on Via delle Fornaci (25), which is practically in the Pope's lap. To get to it you can take the Via Di Ciampino road, turning right onto Via Appia Nuova for 8km and then you'll find yourself in the city. Just follow the signs to the centre and head north . Emmaus is minutes away from the Vatican (one hundred yards to be exact), so once you see that then you're almost there. Or you could take the train from Ciampino airport (Ciampino FS) to Stazione Termini. The fare is ?2 and you'll be able to buy your ...
