Leicester Hilton-a grand place to say

Advantages: nice modern hotel, not far from Leicester
Disadvantages: not the cheepest hotel, rediculously priced interne access

We stayed at the Hilton hotel in Leicester as we fancied a night away from home. There was no particular reason for choosing this particular hotel, we just thought why not. The hotel is located three miles from Leicester city centre. It is just off junction 21of the M1. It is 25 minutes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport. Check in is from 3pm and checkout is 12pm. There is parking at the hotel, which costs £5 per night. In every room, there is internet access which costs £15 per night-way beyond expensive if you ask me!There is a business centre, with 10 meeting room, which can accomdate from 2 to 150 people. The hotel is 100% non smoking. There is on restaurat, one bar and a health club (its free to use for hotel guests) which also has a swimming pool. A double room will set you back £129 per night, which doesnt include ...

Renaissance Chancery Court- Impressive or Overpriced??

Advantages: Exceptional service
Disadvantages: Tired rooms

INTRODUCTION One day mid March an invitation to my boyfriends work ball arrived on our doormat. The ball was to held at the prestigious Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel, a world renowned luxurious Marriot hotel in the heart of London. Not far from Covent Garden, I was treating this beautiful hotel as a little weekend getaway. By means of an introduction I would say my feelings are mixed, and here are the reasons why. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ BOOKING Through the boyfriend?s work we could get a special rate to stay at the hotel, which was hugely appreciated. I instantly went to the website to book a room. However, upon visiting www.renaissancechancerycourt.co.uk I found that the code for a room would not work. Therefore we decided to pay a visit to the hotel itself. When we entered ...

Prosperous Leicester

Advantages: Well planned, Prosperous. Good sports facilities
Disadvantages: Air of complacency

The East Midlands city of Leicester has long been a prosperous place with the hosiery, textiles, footwear and engineering industries being of considerable economic importance. This prosperity does at times seem to have bred a degree of complacency in this leafy, well planned city. Leicester, very much part of Middle England, has attracted large numbers of immigrants, especially Asians from the Indian sub-continent and East Africa and they have added plenty of colour and entrepreneurial skills to the city. The sports scene in this city is good, there is the home ground of Leicestershire County Cricket Club,Leicester City are a Premier Division side and Leicester RFC are one of England's strongest rugby union sides. The cultural infrastructure is well developed with pride of place going to the Phoenix arts Centre and the Haymarket Theatre ...
