We stayed here in the summer 2006 for two nights. The price was very reasonable, in fact one of the cheapest hotels in Brighton which is an expensive town to stay in, it was £220 for the two nights.

We got the train to avoid having to park, which is another nightmare in Brighton. We were told that there was dedicated parking for guests but it was on a first come first served basis which we didn't want to risk.

It took about 15 mins to walk from brighton station, basically head towards the sea and it is right on the corner alomst opposite the Brighton pier.

The reception was very grand looking and staff were friednly. We payed extra for a jacuzzi room which ended up being in the very top of the hotel which made it feel a little cramped. The jacuzzi was extremely noisey when we turned it on. The room had a medium sized bathroom which as a bit small considering it had a jacuzzi bath (normal size bath with the holes in for the bubbles). The view was good as we were so high up. You can pay extra for a sea view but not sufe that would be worth it as you can see it as soon as you step out the hotel anyway.

We did not eat there as it was a little pricey, as you would expect in a hotel. I have eaten in lots of restuarants in Brighton so will do some reviews on them! We did however get the munchies at 3am and when we phoned up for the 24 hour room service they told us they had nothing left! Bit hard to believe that they couldn't even do us a sandwich so not sure what that was all about.

We had a dink in the bar in late evening which had lovely views, usual expensive hotel prices! Make sure you take your key out with you if you stay at the weekend as they have bouncers on the door tomake sure there is no revellers trying to sneak in. We had to show our key to prove we were staying there.

As Laramax has said, more info would be useful - what was your room like? Was there a bar/restaurant? Other facilities? If you edit, let me know via my guestbook and I'll re-rate.

Sounds like the hotel is OK but a little bit more information would have been helpful - is it well located for access to the station and the town centre, what was the food like etc
