I think this is certainly one of the better hotels in the area.
My girlfriend and I had never been to Tunisia before, and found the area very easy to navigate, the local's friendly and the staff even better!
The staff were friendly, and didn't hassle for tips although we often left one due to the excellent service we recieved from them. They were very greatful to recieve the tips, and always appreciated them.
The hotel has 2 resteraunts within it's grounds (excluding the one that comes with half / full-board meals). They were very large and had plenty of room to seat everyone when the lunch time flood begins!
The food given with half and full board is excellent, and is all you can eat. I recommend the crepes for breakfast and dessert and dinner!
There is a shop in the hotel also, where you can buy drinks, clothes, wallets, books, newspapers, magazines, and food. The value here was ok but there is a shop called "Ali Baba" a 5 minute walk down the street which will sell everything much cheaper.
Tunisia has a closed currency, which means you have to buy and sell the Dienar within the country. There is a teller in reception where you can trade your money. I would recommend changing £10-£20 a time as this will get you a lot further than you think it will. Another reason to change your money over as and when you need it is because if you change to much over, and want to change it back to pounds, the rate is much worse, and you will loose money.
There are two swimming pools outside, and one pool inside. All 3 were virtually empty when we went in summer of 2008, which was brilliant for me as I loved the extra space to swim around. They do have "game time" in the pools where they played volleyball and basketball with the other guests.
There is a bar outside, where you can order you drinks, tell the waiter where you are seated and they will bring them over to you. Again, very friendly staff here.
The beautiful sandy beach was a 5 minute walk down a single track road. There are large umbrella's out for shade, and another resteraunt on the beach. The Royal Kenz has it's own personal beach, which meant there was always room for the guests to lounge around in the sun!
The hotel is an "Adults Only" hotel, which is why I've had to give it a "Terrible" rating in the "Family Friendly" section :( .
The only thing I would say to be aware of when staying in Tunisia is the beggars. They will offer you home made jewlery for free, then the mother will run up shout at you and demand money, but wont accept the item back!
