Cairns is one of those places that you will always remember, but thats another review in itself.
PalmRoyale in Cairns is a good resort offering a lovely setting and great and close amenities.
It offers very spacious rooms not done out to the best but slight 80's feel.
The exterior of the hotel, you could imagine it to of once been a very prestigious hotel and it still is highly seen as that but needs a slight revamp to general things like Paint work etc..
There are two pools beautiful one with lengths and one with a slightly oriental feel with a pool temperature jacuzzi towering above ...

CoffsHarbourCoffs is a lovely little town that is worth a quick visit, I unfortunately had the most awful weather when I visited so didn't get to do much at all.
It did nothing but rain the whole time and we even got flooded in one day with a power cut.
On the one sunny day I had on CoffsHarbour I was taken to see the Big Banana, all over Australia they have 'Big' things like the The Big Mango and The Big Shrimp. CoffsHarbour is well known for growing bananas hence the Big Banana. It is also the most well know 'Big Thing' in Australia.
We also decided to take a walk up Mutton Bird Island Nature Reserve; this was a nice walk to the top of the hill over looking the sea view. At the right time of year whales can be spotted from this point. As the Island name suggests this s a habitat for Mutton Birds, I did not get to ...
Advantages: Clean, large rooms, situated on a quiet beach with beautiful view from the rooms and restaurant Disadvantages: only basic air-conditioning provided, no internet connection in rooms.
Clean beachfront hotel offering great views over the quiet bay. The beach can only be accessed by hotel guests or guests of a neighbouring small hotel, so it does not get very noisy or over-crowded.
Breakfast is taken on the beachfront every morning. One can then spend the day on the hotel's beach, kayaking or sailing (the hotel provides equipment), at the poolside, or exploring the island. The hotel is roughly a 15 minute drive to the capital or a 5 minute boat ride to the historical English Harbour. The ever popular tourist attraction of Shirley's heights (which offers steal band entertainment and barbequed food on Sunday evenings) is only 5 minutes away. Eric Clapton's haven is only 10 minutes down the road! Many of the islands well known scuba diving sights are within 10 minutes of the bay of this hotel.
