When went her the year 2008 in August for 2 weeks.
The first impressions of the hotel is, it look lovely and clean.
Well I couldn't be more wrong.
The hotel is nice, but it is very tired looking.
It is situated on its own beach which is good, and they were always plenty of sun loungers, which was good considering the amount of people in the hotel. After a few days, I realised why. Which I will explain further down in the review.
Firstly, I will explain the layout of the hotel. You walked in the a very large reception area which high ceilings and winding staircase which when up to the second floor bedrooms which is where we were. There were also bedrooms downstairs.
When we arrived at 2.30 am in the morning we were all tired as you can imagine as we were delayed going out. We arrive to a massive queue for the rooms to check in. We didn't get to our rooms until 5.45 am, and my two young girls where shattered. This was annoying after waiting around in the airport, when having to wait again, but we let this go, as there was a coach load of people who had checked in before us.
When we arrive to our room, we have asked for a sea view, which we didn't get even though we had paid for them, we got a view of the gardens, which was nice but not what we asked for. We didn't get a refund.
This was the least of our problems, we had no towels or toilet rolls in our rooms and when we went to reception they pretended they didn't understand what we were saying, but when we changed out money with them they spoke English.
Breakfast.
We went down for breakfast at 7.45 am which was buffet style this closed at 9.30 am they were clearing all the food away when we got there, all the hot food had gone. Therefore, we end up with no breakfast even though we had done all-inclusive. There were no plates and very little cups, the cups that were there had no handles and there was never any knives folks or spoons. So after a few days of this I was fed up, so we took our cuttelry to our room and took them down with us as each mealtime.
We had a meeting with reps and all they did was give us a map and that was it, we were done within 5 mins.
Anyway, we read the map and all the instructions of what had to be done when we left the room etc. Then we made out way back to the hotel for a drink. Well they didn't have a lot. Cola which was flat every time coffee which never worked no tea lemonade which tasted like washing up liquid and really weak orange juice.
We then decided to go to the beach with out drinks what a mistake, we were swarmed with wasps they were everywhere on your food and glasses everywhere you went they wouldn't leave you alone. My girls spent most of the holiday screaming and running away from them.
So after about a few hours we decline the sun bathing and went for a shower to go down for tea. When I say I have never seen anything like it I am not joking, it was like a swarm of people rushing for food and you had to grab what you could and I am not joking or you didn't eat.
The first night we didn't get anything when we got there it was all gone again and there were filling them up quick enough, so we decided to go out for meals, I kept my receipts to show first choice when I got home but I didn't get anything back.
This is not a five star hotel its more like a 3 and it has been down graded this year. Do be careful when booking here, it isn't very clean and I was bitten by fleas, which was in the seat covers in the restaurant. The food was ok when you could get some.
I have some pictures to show you which I will try and enclose if I can.
