Royal Plantation Spa & Golf Resort, Ocho Rios

I booked here for my Wedding and Honeymoon and I was not disopointed.
The Site is quite large with Diffrent styles of rooms / accomdation

I stayed in the Honeymoon grande luxe Villa, these are little cottages located throughout the resort in clusters of four, each cottage is nested within the gardens, with fantastic views from patio of the well looked after gardens/ponds.

There is also Bamboo grove block and the ...
...I didn't meet any couple to gain access!!! but I viewed a fantastic room in the main site, again a honey moon villa/room which over looked the emerald sea at the foot of the resort.

If your not going to get married or for a honeymoon the site does have other types of fantastic rooms avalible, to suit all budgets.

There is also Bamboo grove block and the main hotel site, I never looked around Bamboo block as I didn't meet any couple to gain access!!! but I viewed a fantastic room in the main site, again a honey moon villa/room which over looked the emerald sea at the foot of the resort.

Bayside offers buffet style and made to order omelettes.

I used this the most as the selection changed daily on the hot food counter.
There is a hugh fruit bar with almost every diffrent fruit going, including ones not hear or seen before!!!
Cerial bar with your standard cornflakes, muslie etc
Hot Food, which changed daily but always included some flavour of sausage, bacon, and the full monty

Valantinoes offers a A'le carte Breakfast

Always busy, only used the once as I preffered the Bayside

Anytime Snacks offered at The sand Trap Restaurant, which is a Grill, maily cooked to order and freshley prepared with herbs etc of your choice, open all the time day or night.

Dinner/Restaurants and bars

Bayside offers International food and offers gourmet cusine with super table service, it is located outdoors overlooking the ocean, reservations not required, dress code is shorts and collar shirts

Valantino's offers Italian, no smoking restaurant and the dress code is smart, ie long pants, and collar shirts, and dresses
This is a italian restaurant so offers a wide range of pasta dishes and italian cusine, this is a white glove service restaurant.

Arizonia offers soutwest cusine in a western style grill setting with panoramic views of the ocean, this is a casual restaurant with no dress code.

The Sand Trap is Jamacian specialities prepared on a open grill, dress code is shorts and collar shirts.

The food is fantastic, you will gain weight as you will want to try it all!!!

There is a extra bar which is a night club called jamies bar, this opens up on the the beach so you can party on the soft sands over looking the ocean, very romantic.

Cocktails avalible at all the bars and every drink is included, nothing is extra/

After eating all this fantastic food you need to work offa few pounds with the FREE water sports.

Why not go Scuba Diving and snorkelling along the coral reefs?

its so beautiful you do need to do this!!!

Play Tennis on the outdoor courts, air conditioned by the natural sea breeze or play golf.

There are also boat trips, water bikes and many others just book your time slot at the beach water sports hut.

as well as sports there are 3 pools to relax in or swim in the sea, acres of beaufull gardens to walk around.

Plus the site has hourly games, trips etc just check the enternaiment board in the main hall, I do recommend going on the nature trail as this is a fully guided tour of the gardens, explaining what the plants, tree etc are as well as trying the fruit from the trees and learning sometime new!!!

Also there are pool competitions for the men!! and volley ball in the water pool or on the beach.

There is soo much to do you will not want to leave.

I also used the bus which comes into the resort to go in to Jamacia, this you do pay for as its not part of the all inclusive deal as its a private bus, but worth it to visit the "real" jamica, try to go in a group as you will stick out and you will be stopped a lot by the locals offering to help, but help isn't free, so watch out!! just say NO thank you and keep going.

There isn't much to see in the way of shops or bargain buys but its worth it to have a look around as most of the locals are friendly, just some are to friendly. we didn't feel at danger but may of done if we were on our own.

We loved the site and if your a couple over 18 its a must, please remember its couples only, no kids at all......so its peace and quite.

I mentioned above I got married here and I will tell you about my perfect day. it was fully arranged by the site as it was all booked as to what I wanted before we set off. all we needed was our outfits.

On arrival I picked my flowers and location from the wide selection avalible, I wanted the beach, we picked a time as date was allready arranged before hand.

There planning was spot on and the service was fantastic, all recorded for us and photographed so we didn't miss a thing!!, we we escorted around the beauty spots for more pictures and after a little tour we were taken up to our private dinner for two and we did the first dance and were served food to share, all recorded on to vid for memmories after this we spent time with our friends before getting changed for our romantic wedding Evening meal, this to was fantastic and it was the perfect end to a perfect day, and when we got back to our hotel we can flowers, gifts and rose petals on the bed.
The next morning we were brought breakfast in bed, it was fantastic.
My make up and hair etc were also done by the on site salon.

There are other extras you can add on to the package like a moon light massage etc.

You have got to go, and so have I again sometime but this time it will be "beaches" the sister of "sandals" as Beaches allow kids.
