Pleasant flight with Royal Brunei

Advantages: flight times, good seating
Disadvantages: could be more toilets on the Boeing 767 of RBA

Flew with Royal Brunei in August 2007 from London to Brunei and return. Check in at Heathrow handled by Aviance well organised. They also have some of their own staff in RBA uniform handling the operation alongside Aviance. I got a fast track through security however the queues looked very long and I felt very sorry for those who had to stand in line. Waited at gate for around 30-40 minutes before boarding, which is done row-by-row from the front to the back of the aircraft. Once onboard the pilot notified us of a 15 minute delay due to congestion which is very normal at peak time for Heathrow (9:40 in the morning). We began taxying and then stopped at the runway where we waited for about 10 (yes, 10) other planes to tkae off before us. Once we took off the entertainment system started. This is an average system which is AVOD - has ...

KLM and Northwest Airlines

Advantages: Good value for money, comfortable
Disadvantages: Everything is routed though Amsterdam

I’ve read a few different reviews on KLM which suggest that their level of service appears to vary quite a lot and this ties in with my own experience. I travel on business quite a lot and recently flew with KLM from Edinburgh to Detroit via Amsterdam. I then flew up to Toronto and returned from there to Edinburgh, again via Amsterdam. On this trip, I experienced both a KLM regional airline (KLM UK), flew in both business and economy sections and also used KLM’s code share partner, Northwest Airlines, for the first time. I guess I sampled a fairly wide range of the KLM product on offer so I thought it might be worth writing an op on it. It was a long trip so it’s a long op – I’ve subdivided it into the different legs to make it easier to read and/or skip the bits that you may feel irrelevant ...

Review of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

KLM airlines - Worth flying with!

Advantages: The service
Disadvantages: None

I am so glad I can write a review on this airline as I have travelled a lot and this is by far the best company I have ever flown with. I recently flew with them from China to England with a stopover in Amsterdam, however I could check in all my luggage straight from China to London and you cannot do this on all airlines. The service was always attentive, warm and efficient. The air hostess in charge of my section saw that I was wedged between two Chinese travellers and said that once in flight there was plenty of room up front for me to stretch out along a row of seats. I did't even have to say anything! There was a good choice of food and drinks and all the films you wanted to see or music you wanted to listen to. The flight was on time and you are informed of the flight's progress all the time. The whole experience was ...
