Disadvantages: It's expensive - but you pay for the experience

...I have been to Disney World Florida 4 times, and I have stayed both outside and within Disney World. Personally, I would never choose to stay outside of the park again, as the hotels within have everything you need and the ease of staying on resort is a really important factor when choosing where to stay. Last time I went to Florida, I wanted something slightly different from my Disney holiday. I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge in Walt Disney World Florida in February 2006. I stayed for 11 nights with my husband and 7 year old daughter. The Animal Kingdom is one of 10 deluxe hotels that is situated on the resort of Walt Disney World. The hotel has an African theme and is set in over 30 acres of Savanna. If you want to make the most of your experience staying here I would highly recommend booking a Savanna View room. You... Advantages: good facilities, lively city
Disadvantages: political instability

...Having visitid the official capital of Ivory Coast myself for quite some times, I can honestly state that this is the most bizarre city i erer visited! The former president mr. Felix Houphoignet-Boigny dicided that him beeing the president, his village beeing the centre of the country, this was to be the new capital. So he put it on the map, and how...... He realised tarmac roads, 8 lanes wide, streetlights, traffic lights (the only ones you see out of Abidjan)a very prestigious hotel, several gourvernement services, a palace, a mosk and a really big camp for his elite forces the republican garde. Ohhhhh and I also almost forgot, he build a catholic church. You could actually say cathedral, a huge cathedral to be honest. It sits in the middle of the savanna yust half a mile out of town, you can't oversee it, it's a precise copy... Read review

Advantages: the real africa, hardly a tourist destination
Disadvantages: political and ethnical instability, rough travelling

...This is a country that had it all, a nice export of cocoa beans, some gold, plenty of timber, enough space, stability, you name it! And then it happened, de world market for cocoa-beans collapsed and Cote d'Ivoire, the example for the west-African country, began to fade, then there were elections, and then a coup, and then an uprising, another uprising and now it's on the brink of civil war. Still, if you speak French, it's a great country to live in, it's got some nice dense primary forest, lively cities, beautifull markets, miles and miles of deserted beaches, hillcountry, savanna's, desert, and maybe the nicest, most hospitable people of Africa. If you respect the local habits, women wearing skirts and man wearing trousers, asking if permitted before grabbing your digicam etc, there is not a lot you can do wrong here! Only... Read review
