I booked this hotel through an agent (just the hotel, travelcare if memory serves.) a group of us went there last year and the hotel was great, except for a couple of niggley things. first one being the strange way the rooms are numbered! you'd have like room 12 then something like room 237 next to it on the same floor! it took us a while to work out. no porter service it seemed, to help show you to your room, the elevator was tiny (2 people and bags only), and being used as a service lift to take linen up and down in, but the rooms were ok, and quite roomy, en-suite too. the downstairs bar was excellent and full of characters up for the craic, but very noisy later on (till about 4am) if you are at the back of the hotel. we checked the room prices and it worked out a lot cheaper to book through the travel agent, than just turning up for a room. so overall it's good if you get a room at the front of the hotel and only a couple of floors up. oh and it is quite a walk to the temple bar area from here, so may need a taxi if you are going down there. bus drops you off at the bottom of the road from the airport. and now there is a metro service to the city.
