Advantages: A lot to see & do, has something to offer for everyone
Disadvantages: Too much to see and do, can be exhausting, expensive hotels

...and I decided to go into Amsterdam to look around. Maybe it was not the best idea because my trusted Canon Powershot S30 was stolen without me even noticing it when we walked through the crowds at the flower market We flew Continental from Amsterdam to Newark Liberty Airport and from there we went to my sister in Ohio. On July 5th Nikki and I moved on to New York City. Arriving in New York City On July 5th we checked in at Columbus airport and got ready to take the flight from Columbus to Newark. Due to safety rules you have to leave your luggage unlocked now in case they need to inspect it. The flight to Newark only took 1 ½ hours and soon we had all our luggage with us and ready to go into the city. It seems like there are various ways to get to the city. ...I visited The Westin in October 2005 as a gift from my parents for my 21st birthday, they treated myself and my boyfriend to a 5 night stay in a superior room. I'll start by giving you some afcts about the hotel and then i'll give you my experience. The Westin New York at Times Square is on the corner of 43rd Street and 8th Avenue, it has 863 rooms and 126 club rooms and suites. It has a restaurant (shula's steak house) a bar (bar 10) and a coffee shop that does eat in and take away (Cosi's). It has 24 hour room service, a gym and spa, a ticket desk and a gift shop. My trip to the hotel: On arrival to the hotel my first impressions were very good the hotel was an amazingly tall and colourful building, very very modern looking, we were greeted by really friendly porters who took our bags from us and then we made our way upstairs... Disadvantages: Tall buildings make it very dark everywhere

..., your typical burgers. Wednesday we got on the train and headed to Boston for a spot of whale watching. The journey took 4 hours but as we got up so early slept all the way there. Not much to say about Boston as we only went to see whales but my advice if you get sea-sick – don’t bother. I spent the whole time on the loo with a sick bag (trip lasted 2 ½ hours). Our final day in New York we decided to cram in as much as possible. This time we got the tube to Times Square and walked all the way up 5th Avenue. Here you get away from the touristy shops and this is where the real shopping begins. You have your usuals like Disney store but as you work your way up that’s where all the departments stores are.
