Possibly the most hated airline I know of. Fair enough they’re very cheap, but beware they are also extremely nasty! So what’s their problem then?
I have a friend who works for Ryanair, and he has explained to me that they couldn’t care less about providing good customer service. So you can complain to them until you are blue in the face, but it probably won’t get you anywhere. Basically their attitude is that they are the cheapest, and people will always book with them for this reason. They don’t even care if you decide never to use them again, because they know that their cheapness will fill the planes, why should they waste money on customer service.
OK so they are ridiculously cheap, but I couldn’t believe the rudeness of their handling agents at Stansted Airport. They were impolite, abrupt and treated the entire planeload of passengers like a herd of cattle.
As if all this wasn’t bad enough, delayed flights are an everyday occurrence for them, and cancellations are pretty frequent too. They leave very little time between the inbounds and out bounds in order to turn the plane around; this is to keep costs low. So if there is a slight delay on one flight, it will have a direct knock on effect throughout the day.
One more thing to watch is the small print on the back of the ticket. It states quite clearly that the ticket is valid to get you from A to B, but it does not guarantee how and when. So if they make a cock up and overbook the flight, or cancel it for whatever reason, they will quite legally be able to put you on a long bus journey, or make you wait ages for another flight.
Overall I would have to conclude that they are cheap, but certainly not cheerful.

On my return journey home from Genova, Ryanair made all the passengers make a 90 minute Coach journey to Pisa to catch a Plane which was meant to be at Genova Airport 2 hours earlier. The customer service staff explained that because of administrative costs, they weren't prepared to fly the Plane back to Genova Airport where it had been expected.
Personally I found most of the staff pleasant, but I wasn't at all happy about the way they mucked everybody about. The total delay ended up to about 4 hours.

What you find with Ryanair is that they tickets are not accepted by other airlines ...so you have to wait for the next plane no matter what...even if its a delay for days!!!.
The likes of normal airlines like KLM and Air France will let you transfer carriers to get you home when theres problems. They dont tell you that when they take your money of you and believe me it happens.Only on friday I know someone delayed by near 12 hours!!
good opinion regards barry
