Ryanair is an Irish airline headquartered in Dublin. Its biggest operational base, however, is at London Stansted Airport. It is one of Europe's largest low-cost carriers and one of Europe's most successful airlines.
Ryanair was founded in 1985 by Christy Ryan (after whom the company is named), Liam Lonergan and Tony Ryan.

Ryanair start an air service between Waterford and London with a 15 seat Embraer turboprop aircraft. And after 10 years Ryanair celebrated its 10th birthday by carrying 2.25 million passengers. And this years estimate is that Ryanair will carry over 35m. passengers on 440 routes across 24 European countries.
And Ryanairs spokeman and Chief Executive Mr. Michael O'Leary, has said that Ryanair gonna double in size to over 70m. passengers p.a. by 2012.

Nowadays all Ryanair's aircrafts are Boeing 737-800 series aircraft what is is the world's most popular medium-range, narrowbody commercial passenger jet aircraft. Boeing 737-800 type aircraft can carry 189 passengers and 18 infant.
Airplane length is 39.5 m and wingspan 34.3 m. It's cruising speed is mach 0.785.

Airports:
Ryanair commonly flies to regional airports which, while cheap, are usually very far away from the cities they claim to serve.
For excamble Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is over 140 km from central of Frankfurt.

Baggage allowances:
Since March 16 2006 Ryanair start charging £2.50/3.50 per item of checked in baggage each way , notified to Ryanair at booking or subsequently by telephone up to four hours before the flight. There is no allowance of any free checked bags at all on Ryanair, while most other European budget airlines allow 1 free checked bag. The charge increases to £5.00 / €7.00 per piece for baggage not pre-notified to Ryanair. The maximum allowed checked baggage per passenger is currently 15kg. I think this weight limit is way too litlle, specially on longer holidays, 15 kg...wow... Thank good Ryanair's hand baggage allowance is 10kg, which is fairly generous compared to some airlines and specially when you dont need to take other than cabin bag with you. Unfortunary Ryanair does not allow passengers to share baggage allowances, and 5kg excess backage charge at £5.50/€8.00/kilo. This policy is rigourously enforced by the company at most of its airports. Still I wondering that some (sorry to say but..) spanish and italian passengers are carry huge cabin bags in aircraft, and not just one but some cases 4-5 at least 15kg bags.... wow. Rules are different in other countrys.

Tickets:
Ryanair flightickets are sale in Ryanair's internet page and Ryanairs sale desks in airports. Flight tickets are very cheap, but many times tax's are 3-5 or 10 times more than actual ticket. I have flight many times when tickets where only 1pence, but after tax's price was nearly 20 £.

Ryanairs internet page is not just "ticket office" but also huge information place. There is lot of information about travel destinations, hotels, hostels, car rental and even how to buy properties over sea and last year Ryanair open own internet casino. I just wondering what next? ? ? Same pages give information about flights and jobs in Ryanair. And passengers who want to avoid cues in airport and travel without check in luggages can use easy online check in service and print their boarding card from home sofa.

I love Ryanair's business idea. They got empty aircraft where they sold tickets: 1 seat is 1p next 10p etc. And if some route is busy they took prices up and another less busy route gets cheaper tickets. Many other company's should learn from RY.

Ryanair has come under fire from unions representing workers in the airline industry for refusing to recognise trade unions and allegedly providing poor working conditions (for example, staff are banned from charging their own mobile phones at work to reduce the company's electricity bill) If idea is get much peoples as possible from place A to place B and quickly as possible there is always some ones who suffer. Not people who travel, after all they will be happy to get their final destination earlyer, BUT crew who work in Ryanair. They fly around 8 flights per day, 5-6 days in week. Normal working day is easyly 10-14 hours, with out brakes. After and before every flights cabin crew clean aircraft and secure it and get passinger's from airport in to aircraft and out. After each day crew make paperworks and still try to smile. Belive me its not easy. And its not job wor "barbie girls". In that job you need to be much MUCH more than pretty face and nice smile. Its much harder job than people belive.

Ryanair does not recognise the Irish Airline Pilots' Association (IALPA), although it is the largest pilots' union in Ireland.
I hope some day Mr. Ryanair appreciate his crew more than money he try to get from them. After all with out that wonderful crew his aircraft dont fly. Ryanair currently employs a team of 3,500 people, comprising over 25 different nationalities.

I have always enjoy flights with Ryanair. Its cheap, why should you pay hundreds pounds for same route if you got chance to get cheaper, and you got more money to spend it in your holiday, and use that extra money to better hotel, like I do.
