Being completely obsessed with food, as I unashamedly am, I had already researched vegetarian restaurants in Munich long before relocating here. I had jotted down the names and addresses of the four or five places listed in guide books and on the web, and was prepared to start investigating as soon as possible. S.M. Vegetarisch wasn't mentioned ... ...a friendly, middle-aged Asian couple, S.M. Vegetarisch offers egg- and dairy-free Asian-style vegetarian cuisine. The menu is small, containing no more than a dozen items, but what they do, they do well. This is one of the most important things I look for in a restaurant. I'd much rather be presented with a very limited menu that is executed well than with one the size of a phone book, with choices so numerous that the kitchen can manage only mediocre ...
