...The SAS Radisson hotel in Dusseldorf is one of the city's premier hotels. The hotel is located an Golzheimer Platz half way between the city centre and the Messe, or exhibition hall. The hotel is also conveniently located on the tram line which makes access to the convention centre and the city very easy. It is only a fifteen minute taxi drive from the airport. The hotel boasts two restaurants as well as a swimming pool and well equipped gym, for those who want to make use of the facilities. The prices are relatively high, particularly at fair time, and at this time the rooms are almost impossible to get, so book very early....

Advantages: professional elegant great service Disadvantages: a bit far from center but excellent public transport
...I stayed there recently with my husband. Its a three star hotel but as often with german hotels the level of quality is usually a star higher. Its in the north I would say about halfway between the center and the airport. We had our car so it was easy to drive to the cener. Although parking is difficult to find. the hotel has its own underground parking which cost a few pounds a night. The hotel is efficiently run and the staff are very professional. They gave us loads of free brochures and one even drew me a map! the rooms are spacious and clean with very fast room service. Also the bathrooms are very impressive! althought the minibar is to be avoided very expensive. In the morning we had an amazing buffet, theres no need to eat lunch after. If you dont mind not being in the center then this is the perfect hotel!! Plus dusseldorf is one...

The reception lady was reluctant to permit a late check-out and negotiated our proposed 4pm down to 3pm requesting us to ask the Reception Manager the next day for a permission to stay longer. She also asked us if we wanted a twin or double room, and when we went up...
