Saga holidays are usually great, however just returned from Theofano Hotel in Cyprus, described in the brochure as a friendly family run hotel. If I hadn't travelled with Saga before I would not have done again after this experience. The standard of cleaning left a lot to be desired. Cat hair was not swept off of stairs for nearly 2 days, there was a huge black ring all around the outdoor swimming pool and one day I wrote my name in dust in my bedroom. The food was dreadful, poor quality limited choice, unless you like sprouts, which were served daily. The standard of service was poor with drinks taking 20 minutes or more to arrive and in some instances they did not arrive before we had finished eating our meals. The staff were surly and unsmiling in the main, far from being family a lot of them were actually russian. There were no communal non smoking areas. The air conditioning was not switched on despite temperatures in the 70's and 80'sF. Towels were in worse condition than my dusters and a lot thinner. As you can see this is not a holiday that I would recommend to my worst enemy. Definately not up to Saga's usual standard
