We booked a Sala Pool Villa for our 10 day honeymoon stay at the end of August 2006 and it was definitely the best hotel we've ever stayed at.

From our arrival to departure our visit was totally hassle free and couldnt have been more enjoyable. The service given by the staff was amazing, they couldnt do more for us even if they tried.

On arrival i was given a gorgeous bouquet of red roses and even though we were very early we were taken straight to our villa.

What can i say but wow, the pictures do not do it justice. The bed was scattered with red roses petals and there was a bottle of sparkling wine and some chocolates waiting for us too. The bedroom itself was very spacious, with a huge bed, a day bed and good quality tv, dvd and sound system. The outside bathroom was huge, with a big oval bath for two, shower, and all necessities.

The grounds of the villa were lovely, a small patio with two sun loungers, a big 4 poster sun bed and plunge pool which was great for lounging in. during the day.

The food at the hotel was fantastic, we ate there every morning, had a few lunches, 6 evening meals and also room service. It is pricier than other hotels but well worth it. The presentation is exceptional, the service is fantastic, quality is superb and a lovely atmosphere! We also ate in the pool one night which was very romantic. They do Thai Markets evenings once a week which is hightly recomended, its a set meal with Thai dancers and some market stalls with carvings etc very enjoyable evening.

There is two pools, one a play pool and the other an infinite pool. Both were amazing and well kept. There is also plenty of sun longers around the pool, where the staff are always on hand to give towels or take drink or food orders.

The Mandarin Spa is fantastic, it is costly compared to the massages you can get on the beach but the surroundings are lovely. We received a free couples honeymoon massage which was excellent, we also had a Seaweed Wrap and traditional Thai Massage next to the pool we would highly recommend both.

There is also a library with Internet access which was very handy, there are also plenty of books that can be borrowed. The reception also hold a DVD collection that can be borrowed and suprisingly there was plenty to choose from.

The rooms were cleaned daily and when they were turned down in the evening, little food gifts were left on the bed which was a really nice touch.

All in all we had the best honeymoon ever and would recommend the hotel to everyone!
