Advantages: Clean, friendly, lots on offer for all ages Disadvantages: Had to leave from it.
...resort, six miles north of Salou has an Aquaruim water park which is hugely popular for children. Catalunya is famous for it's golf courses and there are two in the nearby region including one in Reus near the airport. Trip to Barca is a must! Forget the reps trip, its massively overpriced -50 euros! We got the Bus Plana excursions -19-24 euros. Remember you can hop on and off at all the main sights. Brilliant... don't miss the dancing fountains ... ...on the pitch at Nou Camp. Tourist information is underground at Placa Catalunya and they are very helpful. Shopping in Barca is fantastic also, particularly around Las Ramblas. All in all Salou is well worth a visit there is plenty to see and do so you'd never be bored. ...
Advantages: There is plenty to do if you dont want a 'plonk yourself on beach' holiday Disadvantages: The weather isnt very predictable
I visited Salou in May 2008 and to be honest the weather wasnt great, it rained a couple days and wasnt very warm.
We stayed at 'Cye Salou' Aparthotel which was actaully situated on a large roundabout so if you were on the roadside there is quite a lot of traffic noise - lucky me and my partner arent too light sleepers! We throughly enjoyed a couple days at the Porteventura Theme park, it was only a 30min walk from out hotel which was great. There ... ...with lots of plants and palm trees.
There is also a laser show in one of the water fountains at night which is brilliant and attracts a good crowd. Overall Salou is an excellent place for nightlife, things to do in the day an plenty for families also! ...
Advantages: Quiet, relaxing and friendly Disadvantages: None
...back from a week in Salou (May 2007). I was in a fortunate situation to have a friend give me one of his timeshare weeks, so accomodation and flights (courtesy of Ryan Air) were very cheap. The appartment was OK, but considering it was part of a timeshare I was disappointed with the fact it had no air conditioning - I was boiling!
Salou itself was a great town. About ten miles from Reus airport (30 Euros in a taxi), it is situated about 70 miles ... ...relaxed in it's atmosphere. It's town is minimalistic, but in saying that was never 'over-crowded'. The beach is fantastic with it's golden sand, and stretches along the coast for miles.
With Barcelona about 90 minutes away by train, it makes the perfect stay for a relaxing week. ...
Advantages: warm weather, friendly people Disadvantages: beach was terrible, no proper shops, no real nightlife
...i cant remember to much.
Salou in general, I did not enjoy my trip to salou, The hotel which we stayed in was not that great, it had a small entertainment room downstairs which was never very entertainable, The outdoor pool was very enjoyable and very large, The pool room was quite small and held about 3 pool tables so trying to get a pool table was very hard.
The clubs were not that good either, the choice of music only really catered for Spanish ... ...up side the food and drink in and around the complex was very cheap.
The shops were ok but were mainly novelty shops no real shopping shops there, the Spanish people were very friendly and always tried there best to help with any enquires.
Outside of the complex there was a couple of tennis courts and a footbal pitch but this was the only main attractions we managed to find, The beach was not at all like a beach more like a coble stone path with ...

Review of Salou in General
Advantages: great family holiday, inexpensive to eat out . Disadvantages: very big city if you have kids and decide to walk about.and quite a long bus journey.
...situated oin the middle of Salou and Cambrills.
The camp has a laundry which has a service where you can leave your washing in the morning, and it is done for the evening for you to pick up,it costs roughly 10 euros for the service.
There is also a main reception at the front of the park with a money exchange inside also.
Another good thing about the camp is it is patrolled 24 hours a day with security and police do regular patrols.
If for any ... ...does cost 50 euros to get him to come to you,but if you need a doctor you just have to pay it.
If medication is needed , there are plenty of pharmacies along the beach front with things like antibiotiics which are very cheap,as i had to buy myself some before when i had a throat infection. All in all i payed 8 euros for a throat spray and antibiotics , which is cheap.
They also have reps on hand to give you advice about attractions in the vicinity. The ...
