...stay at the Venecia Park Hotel in Salou. I will write this in as much detail as I possibly can and hope this will be very helpful to anyone thinking of going to this hotel. Flight from the uk was very convenient as only took 2 hours 15 mins. ...the room we went. The hotel has 2 lifts which in our 2 week stay we never saw any problems with. BEDROOM On entering the hotel bedroom we were a little disappointed at first as the room appeared to be a bit dated and badly lit. This was fine during the day as the sunlight really brightened up the room. There was only one socket which was fine for us but I could imagine some people may find this a problem. ...Being rather tied to the hotel of an evenng with having a small child, we sat in the bar and being the only one of three couples, were still surprised when we were told that they were closing early - it was 8pm! Food was not changed at all during the day at the buffet and being all inclusive, we found we have no choice but to eat out or suffer making ourselves and our daughter ill. ...were not guest at the hotel acting very suspiciously. On further inspection someone noticed they were taking photographs of the children from under the table. When approach the woman ran away but the man was restrained by guests. He explained he was taking photos of little blonde girls as they reminded him of his grand daughter, the police were called & they asked the woman to return with the camera. ...We all asked the following questions, Why run in the first place? Why take two hours to return? Why did her partner admit to photographing children? The police said they had no evidence so they couldn't act, she walked away laughing & blowing kisses to the worried parents In short if you only need a couple of hours sleep each night, would like to each chips every day of two weeks & don't mind having your children photographed by total strangers ... Disadvantages: A big, busy resort

In August of this year my hubby and our son (14) and daughter (9) stayed in Salou for 2 weeks. We stayed in the Albatros Apartments, which were situated on a bit of a hill about 10 minutes walk from the main strip. We liked the situation of these apartments as Salou is quite a hussley bussely place and quite noisy at night time, but where we were was fairly quiet. The flight from Glasgow only took 2 1/2 hours and the coach journey from Reus Airport ...
...time was great. Check in was also very quick, there were quite a few people who arrived at the same time as us, but there were 4 or 5 receptionists doing check in. When we booked we probably left it a little late and could only get a studio apartment for the 4 of us so we were a bit concerned about the size. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. Disadvantages: By noisy trains and some distance from the resort centre

I stayed in this apartment block last year. The apartment was clean and adequately equipped and there is a small shop on site which is rather expensive. The reception staff always seem too busy and you have to queue a while if you need anything. The block is situated by a busy train line and the trains are noisy throughout the night.
