A trip back to the old west at Hotel Gold River, PortAventura Advantages: Western fans will be in their element. Disadvantages: They won't let you live there! ...at a couple of the PortAventura hotels previously (El Paso and Caribe) and were keen to see the latest addition to the park complex, a themed hotel created to resemble a western town. It is a 502 room hotel set in several acres backing onto the PortAventura theme park and was opened in July 2009 in a ceremony performed by the actor Larry Hagman, famous for his role as JR Ewing in the 80’s TV series ‘Dallas’. jaime 1 great hotel Advantages: close to shops beaches nitelife portaventura dont need buses Disadvantages: food not so good so just go half board We have stayed in this hotel this year will be are third time staying in it . We went half board the breakfast is ok but have never went for lunch .The hotel is in a great place you can walk up to portaventura it close to the town and eating places are all close the beach is a great we took my grand child with us hes 3yrs we didnt need the pram that is how close everything was we book it ourselfs thought alpha room it works out a lot cheaper than ... ...theres 3 pools a shop and bars in it cant wait to get back. Noisey Neighbours Ahoy! Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Not Cheerful! The Molinos Park hotel in Cap Salou, I have been to Salou before when I was a lot younger and being a skint student after our exams my boyfriend and I decided we couldn't afford much so found us a last minute deal to Salou, knowing it's not that far away on a 2 hour flight and that it was near Barcelona and the world famous theme park - Port Aventura. So we booked it, Cap Salou (a quieter suburb), not far from Salou, or so they said. A 3* All Inclusive ... ...to go for it. We arrived late and were hungry, food had stopped being served for the day, which was a bit annoying but we checked in, which was fine, friendly staff and got our key, dumped the bags in the room and headed to the bar for a drink as we were parched. Don't pass on El Paso Advantages: Fantastic hotel. Disadvantages: They made me go home !! ...about my holiday at the El Paso Hotel, Port Aventura, Spain in October 2008. My holiday was booked through First Choice Holidays and for my husband, myself and our 12 year old son for a weeks half board stay with unlimited access to the park, the cost, including flights and transfers was £1200. We all had a wonderful time, I won't go into the park details as I have already written a review on that aspect of Port Aventura - this review is purely about ... ...Port Aventura when we booked El Paso is the simplest and least expensive hotel, but I can say quite honestly that we had no complaints at all and were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. Truth about Venecia Park Hotel In Salou Advantages: Cleanliness, price Disadvantages: food ...stay at the Venecia Park Hotel in Salou. I will write this in as much detail as I possibly can and hope this will be very helpful to anyone thinking of going to this hotel. Flight from the uk was very convenient as only took 2 hours 15 mins. On arrival at Reus Airport we decided to get a taxi from outside the main terminal building which was very quick and easy to do and only cost 30 euros. The taxis were waiting and it took approx 15 minutes to ... ...the room we went. The hotel has 2 lifts which in our 2 week stay we never saw any problems with. BEDROOM On entering the hotel bedroom we were a little disappointed at first as the room appeared to be a bit dated and badly lit. This was fine during the day as the sunlight really brightened up the room. There was only one socket which was fine for us but I could imagine some people may find this a problem.
