The overall rating of a review is different from a simple average of all individual ratings.
Advantages:
friendly people,very cheap,and such a pleasant laid back feeling,even the ant leave you alone . . .
Disadvantages:
all inclucive, airport imigration very slow, the government said they were trying to speed things up,but after the horrendous tragidy in america . i think slow imigration and security is something we will all have to get used to . which can only be a good thing
1,if peace harmony and a never ending beach is your thing then praia'which actually means beach'is the place for you.we walked 11 kilometres one day and apart fron sand and palms, saw only 3 other people, local fishermen at that. 2,take time to learn a little bit of portuguese as no one speakes english and this can make life very difficult..british people are somewhat of a novelty at the moment, and are liked very much, the only problem is that alot of people from the british isles are traveling to bahia, but unfortunately most are plumbing for the easy option of the dreaded all inclusive, one such place is 'costa de suipe' which is purpose built.we hired a car for the day 'which was 50 real'real is pronounced heal,we drove up to costa de suipe thinking we could have a look around and a bite to eat..wrong..to get in is like checkpoint charlie.and you can't just walk or drive in .no.you have to purchase a day pass for guess how much?yes 50 real each.just to get in..so when i totted up how much this was and how much the locals in praia earned a week.we declined and drove on to a sleepy little place called 'porto de suipe'and we had lunch there instead. 3,if you haven't pre booked your internal trips, and were thinking of heading off down to rio'which actually means river, and is pronounced hio'then make sure you either take extra cash or some plastic,as an over night stay in rio with return flights can cost over $250 each. 4,the sea in praia do forte may look very inviting, but watch the locals, only swim or surf'the surf is very good'where they do the under current can be a killer.also one or two sharks were spotted . 5,and finally..dont be afraid to join in,the bahians love to dance.sometimes all night, and locals from salvador will travel to praia at the weekends,so things get really lively..they love it when holiday makers or travellers get up and have a go ,also sample the local food.it's a miss conception that bad stomaches come from local food.dehidration and too much sun play more of a part.we ate from a stall at the side of the sand path leading through praia, and had to keep going back to see if it was cooked yet..he wouldn't let us have it til the chicken was cooked all the way through...and it was delicious,be careful of any sauce they may put on the food ,its the hottest thing iv'e ever eaten.but nice when added to a soup,so nice infact i brought some home....

A good op with plenty of info. Just one thing, if you put breaks in your opinions, it becomes a great deal easier to read them. Also, try to write no more than two ops per day, this will help you immensely and stop you from being labelled as a 'churner'. Hope this has helped. Steve.

Not a bad op, but please try to use capital letters and even more importantly put some spaces between paragraphs! Lack of spaces and capitals makes it very hard to read! Hannah
