Advantages: Lightweight, compact and great value for money Disadvantages: Nothing that can not be overcome easily
bulky to store and/or put in the car boot when travelling (even those so called 'compact' ones which are still the size of a large golf bag when folded down), b) take up a lot of room when assembled and c) have sides which are too high so cause difficulty when bending over to place a sleeping child in the bed - this is a big problem for me being somewhat vertically challenged (5 foot nothing!).
The Samsonite Pop Up Bubble Travel Cot provides solutions to all of these problems and more! It is extremely slim line and compact when folded down measuring approximately 33cm x 61cm x 10cm and it weights just 3 kilos which is considerably less than traditional travel cots (approximately a third the weight). It is so compact and light weight that you can easily consider taking it with you when you don't have the benefit of a car to travel ...
If you want something that's going to last you forever and if you want to get quality luggage, go for SAMSONITE. You may be thinking that you are going to be spending a bomb on something that is totally uneccessary a total peripheral to your travels but let me tell you that investing in a samsonite is going to save you more moeny than you think. I only wish I could have gotten mine a little earlier just to save more money. The last trip I took to London was three years ago and I had to lug this huge luggage around that first of all did not look glamorous at all and secondly had a detached wheel in just a matter of 17 minutes of being dragged across the streets of London from Mansion House up to the YHA opposite St Paul's cathedral. I was totally disgusted. What the samosonait has done for me is been loyal in not falling apart at times ...
Samsonite Starwalker
Cheap very thin plastic shell, no security (all round zipper with 3 digit combo lock) very flexable. Fabric zip cover bound to get caught on baggage handling equipment.
Costs way too much (far more than Delsey), looks just like the stuff they sell in Woolworths at £20 for a set. Do you realy want to look this common and have luggage thats almost certain to fail quickly.
If you travel occasionaly and then by car/coach its probably OK but if you travel by air this is clearely not intended for you, its way too fragile and thin to stand any chance of stsnding up to any significant amount of wear. The whole thing just screams cheap, tatty and downmarket, the biggest suprise is the cost, its truly eye watering.
There should be an option to give no stars, a 1 star rating is way too high for this. One to avoid. ...
