Admission Prices We paid roughly £2.50 each for admission which we thought was very reasonable.
Samui Snake Farm Samui Snake Farm holds many different species of snakes including some of the most venomous snakes around such as the King Cobra. As we walked into the Snake Farm, we noticed a man with a HUGE snake draped round his neck. They offer for you to hold the snake and take a photo of you. We had a photo taken and were asked if we would like to buy it for £2. We decided to buy it and a little while later we were presented with a small plate, with our picture printed in the middle, with Samui Snake Farm written across the top. The plate also had its own stand Visitors are invited to watch the Snake Show which is held twice a day at 11am and then again at 2pm. The show lasts around 30 minutes and is held in a circular arena with seating all the way around the outside of it, although I must point out that there is a gap between the arena and the first row of seats to make sure no visitors ca touch the snakes. The snake handlers tell you about various species of snakes while handling them in the centre of the arena. Two of the snake handlers at Ko Samui Snake Farm have taken part in Guinness World Records. These two snake handlers have been nicknamed the Scorpion Queen and Centipedes King and visitors can meet them after the show. Towards the end of the show, two more handlers come into the arena and show Scorpions and Centipedes and visitors are given a talk on each of them. You can walk around Samui Snake Farm and read information about the snakes that are held here and can also visit the various snakes in their vivariums. The snakes all had plenty of room and the enclosures were all clean. There is a smaller arena which holds crocodiles; although we decided not to watch the crocodile show as we had already seen one at a previous attraction.
In Summary I would recommend a trip to Samui Snake Farm as I thought it provided good value for money and I enjoyed looking at the various snakes. The show itself was quite educational as the handlers show you the teeth of the snake and demonstrate the snakes poison glands. The whole experience probably took us about an hour in total which we thought was reflected by the admission costs.
